The 4th of July will be here soon and if you are fireworks lover, you need to know where to see some fantastic displays in the East Tennessee . Whether you visit Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, you have choices for your fireworks viewing pleasure. Besides fireworks, you can listen to country music, eat great food and catch a parade. It's all good! The following three events are annual events. If you can't make it this July 4th, try next year, or the next!

Patriot Festival at Patriot Park , Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge is a great location to spend the entire July 4th day. During the day there will be live music and lots of good food. There are also many local restaurants and gift shops near Patriot Park , so do some shopping, have lunch or dinner and don't forget the fireworks. They always put on an amazing display. Click here for more information regarding parking.

Country music entertainment will be by Restless Heart in the afternoon, as well as newcomer Randy Montana. Bluegrass artists by the name of The Roys will fill the air with toe-tapping tunes. I can't give away all the details, but I know you will enjoy it!

This event is open to the public; bring chairs or blankets to sit on. Umbrellas are not allowed. Patriot Park is located on Old Mill Avenue , Pigeon Forge, Tennessee . Follow the crowd, you can't miss it!

Gatlinburg's 4th of July Midnight Parade

Gatlinburg likes to be first, so they hold their July 4th at midnight, to be more precise, it starts at 12:01 am July 4th. This parade has the distinction of being the first Independence Day parade in the country each year!

Gatlinburg's July 4th Fireworks Display

The location is downtown Gatlinburg and the fireworks begin 1 hour after dark. Gatlinburg has a lot to offer tourists and locals alike. There are shops galore, numerous restaurants, rides, games and loads of other activities to pass the time until the fireworks display begins. For more information regarding the Gatlinburg fireworks or the parade, call 865-436-0500, or visit the website.

If you are visiting Tennessee for the first time, remember that it is extremely hot and humid in the summer. Dress accordingly, drink lots of water, wear a hat and use sun screen. Even when the sun goes down, the heat doesn't go away!

Fireworks displays should be left to the professionals. Let them do the work, while you sit back and enjoy it! Be safe and have fun.
