San Diego First Date Ideas: Balboa Park

Balboa Park is located in downtown San Diego, and has activities for people of all types. There are two art museums, an aerospace museum, a car museum, a natural history museum, the zoo, and many more attractions. It is a great location for a first date in San Diego because there are so many options to choose from. Another great thing is that Balboa Park can be a cheap date. You can dine in a nice restaurant and drink wine, or stop at the local burger stop or hot dog stand. Walk through the botanical garden and enjoy the scenery for free.

San Diego First Date Ideas: Pacific Beach and the Bahia

Pacific Beach offers a roller coaster, a few miles of open beach, parks and playgrounds, and miles of sidewalks for biking or walking. There are restaurants and bars everywhere. While San Diego beaches get crowded in the summer, they make a fantastic first date, especially for a sunset walk on the beach and a nice dinner. You can take a short harbor cruise across Mission Bay on the Bahia Belle for less than ten dollars. It crosses the bay from the Catamaran Hotel to the Bahia Hotel hourly.

San Diego First Date Ideas: La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove is probably the most beautiful beach spot in the San Diego. It is a great spot for a first date picnic, barbecue, scuba diving, swimming, and walking. You walk along the cliff tops, and can go down to the beach in several locations. Offshore is a large marine reserve that hosts an abundance or wildlife, including seals, sea lions and shore birds. Parking can be difficult in the summer, but is fine the rest of the year. Hotels, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance, and offer date options for any price range.
