Finally, the first creation museum, that teaches our children the creation of the world in biblical terms instead of the "billions of years ago" theory that is ever so popular, has been created. Erected by the fantastic people at Answers In Genesis and a ton of you all's donations and well wishes got this long standing dream to happen.

May 25th 2007, the museum opened and according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, "The museum opened at 10 a.m. with about 500 people in line and with license plates from 31 states and two Canadian provinces in the parking lot of about 600 spaces." By the end of the day over 4,000 people had walked through those magnificent doors.

The museum is strategically located within a day's drive of 2/3's of the United States population in Cincinnati, Ohio. Answers in Genesis has made the location of the museum as universal to all Americans as possible. When you walk in the doors they start out by walking you through the history of creation; from Adam being created from dust, to the first murder of Able by his brother Cain.

Next they take you through what they call the Seven C's of History. In case you are not familiar with that term let me explain. The first of the Seven C's is Creation. It is detailed information on how the Lord created the earth and saw what he had made and saw that it was good. The second of the Seven C's is Corruption. This is explained as Adam's fall, when he ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil given to him by his wife Eve, instead of listening to the words of the Lord. The third of the Seven C's is the Catastrophe. The catastrophe is explained as the day of Noah, when the world was flooded and only Noah, his family and the creatures the Lord sent to Noah survived on the ark. The fourth of the Seven C's of History is Confusion. This is explained as the confusion that was dealt to all the people at the Tower of Babel. Where the world was split up by the language barrier the Lord created. The fifth of the Seven C's is Christ. This was of course, when Jesus Christ came to earth as the Son of God, fulfilling the law and proclaiming the path to righteousness. The sixth of the Seven C's is the Cross. This is quite obviously when Jesus, the Son of God was hung on the cross until dead, only to be resurrected three days later, as the champion over death. His selfless sacrifice allowed our sins to be paid in full if we only believed on him. The final Seventh C of History is the Consummation. This is when the New Jerusalem comes down to be our dwelling place after this world is destroyed. It is for all of those who believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died and took our sins with him and rose from the dead, overcoming death and cleansing us of sin for all time. The consummation is the coming to pass of everything we that are Born of the Spirit of God are waiting for.

In addition to these fundamental teachings that are so vital to the teaching of our children, the museum offers fantastic displays of dinosaurs, mammals, extinct creatures and so much more. There is a planetarium that offers explanations of the constellations and planets with the accurate time line of the earth only being 6,000 years old.

My family has signed up for the 5 year pass, which is only 9.95 a month for 5 years and it gets my entire family of 8 into the museum and planetarium with no additional charges. It also allows us to have 4 people as guests, to be used as many times per year as we would like. We have planned a trip for late August or Early September, depending on when we can go, and I will definitely let you all know what we see.

Creationism: because actual science requires too much thought.

Museum: a place where objects of historical or scientific interest are collected and displayed. How does this qualify? It's more of a theme park.

Over $500 for five years of ignorance. What a bargain!
