First Fridays in Goshen, Indiana, is a Monthly Event in Downtown Goshen, Indiana
First Fridays Goshen, Indiana, Cruisin This July 2nd, 2010
First Fridays is not just a summer event. This winter there was an ice sculpture contest during one of the coldest months of the year. It did not deter people from attending this event. I have to admit that I did not stay long. The sculptures stayed up until the winter sun slowly melted them. There were awards presented to the artists, along with exposure for those who participated in the event. You could watch the artists at work as they wielded saws and chisels.
Don't forget the food! There is homemade ice cream, and candy along with the local hot dog vender. If you want to try his specialty or just a plain chili dog, my favorite, you better arrive early. The line to buy one of he and his wife's famous hot dogs is long. It does not deter their customers from waiting patiently to get one of his delicious hot dogs.
Special music will be performed by the Minor profits from 6-7:30 p.m.
and The Whistle Pigs from 8-11 p.m between Main Street and East Washington Street in Downtown Goshen, Indiana
For those with the more discriminate palates you can eat in the eateries in downtown Goshen. There is also a high classed places to dine which I will write about at a later date.
This is a very fun, exciting social event. I hope to see you this Friday, July 2nd, at the Goshen, First Friday event. We will be in one of Sam's classic cars after eating a famous chilidog. We won't eat it in Sam's car though or he will have our heads. This event will start at 5:00 on July 2nd in Goshen, Indiana on Main Street.

Wow...cool. Punny yes, but it sounds so interesting. What a great thing for a town to do. Most wonderful idea. Glad you enjoyed it too.
This sounds really fun!! Thanks, Shana!!
Sounds like fun. If I was still in that area I'd definitely go. I'm glad you had a good time. :)
More towns should do this kind of thing.
This sounds like so much fun! Thanks!
That's different. I like it!

sounds like fun
We just got back! There had to be over 2000 people there.. I never saw anything like it. We rode with Sam who is an old teenager and crazy as a junk yard dog, probably why I like him, in his 1967? Ford galaxy convertible, it was so much fun. I ate some Korean beef wrap thingy with vegetables, it was healthy and delicious. the guys got the famous hot dogs, I bought 4 $1.00 books, that were on sale at the bookstore. Might write an article on it. It was really a lot of fun!
