On June 8, 2010 Arkansas-based telephone and communications company First Orion added a Smartblock and Do Not Disturb feature to the popular Blackberry Privacystar application. Privacystar's Smartblock and Do Not Disturb features help reduce customer's frustration upon receiving the harassing/telemarketing phone calls.

Evident with the Smartblock and Do Not Disturb features, CEO Jeff Stalnaker, of First Orion, recently stated, "SmartBlock and the Do Not Disturb text message option are great additions to our ever growing portfolio of privacy services." Updated weekly, Privacystar's Smartblock feature takes the network's most frequently blocked numbers not belonging to individuals and blocks the phone numbers across the entire community of subscribers. The Do Not Disturb feature automatically forwards all calls to voicemail, while allowing users to create personalized text messages to be sent to the harassing callers." The new features were created based upon a Customer Survey based on the features," First Orion Marketing Director Robbie Matthews stated, "You have the ability to control privacy which is empowering." Privacystar's Smartblock and Do Not Disturb features provide greater opportunity in the fight against harassing phone calls.

With its unique call blocking/barring functions, Privacystar has become a top Blackberry application for many users. For only $2.99/month, subscribers of the popular Blackberry application are able to block "unknown" and "spoof" numbers, with a sync from the Privacystar web portal to the individual's cell phone. The "unknown" and "spoof" numbers can be reported to the Federal Trade Commission, with applicable dates, times, phone numbers, and actual identities of each caller. Since its inception 3 months ago, Privacystar users have made up for 10% of all nuisance call reports made to the Federal Trade Commission. In accordance with the Do Not Call Registry, over 37,000 complaints have been filed with the Federal Trade Commission while 207,000 phone numbers have been blocked on the Privacystar network.

Available in the Blackberry Application World portal, First Orion's Blackberry Privacystar application has a 7-day free trial for interested users. For more information Privacystar, please visit http://www.PrivacyStar.com .
