The first customer to receive the keys was Mr. Ashok Raghunath Vichare, a 59 year old customs officer from Mumbai. He was accompanied by his family at the function. He drove home a silver Nano LX model.
Another Mumbaikar, Mr. Ashish Balakrishnan, a bank employee took possession of a sunshine yellow LX model. Expressing his joy at receiving the world famous Tata Nano he said "he could not wait to joyride the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, a 5.6 kms bridge build over sea."
The third car was given a corporate office Kores India Ltd. It was a lunar silver LX.
Analysts said that the delivery was a positive step for Tata Nano owing to its troubled past.
