First Wedding Anniversary Gift Guide: Paper Gift Ideas
Why not give your spouse your journal? This gift requires some planning ahead of time if you don't usually write in a journal, but if you do, and you tend to write about your feelings for your spouse then why not give that to them for your first wedding anniversary? Many of us often wonder what our spouse is thinking about us at times, so why not let them know your innermost thoughts.
If you haven't been writing in a journal for the past year, then why not make a scrapbook for your spouse. You don't have to have shoebox after shoebox of pictures to make your spouse a scrapbook for your first wedding anniversary, as long as you have at least a couple different roles of film featuring different milestones you should have enough to make at least a small scrapbook. You can even ask family members if they have pictures that you can use for the scrapbook. Then just go to your local craft stores for decorative papers, stickers, and an album and get to scrapping.
If you are looking to go a little less homemade then try purchasing your spouse a bundle of books by their favorite writer, or you can purchase them a really nice coffee table book about something they are interested in. Books make a great first wedding anniversary gift, especially if you purchase books that you can read together and discuss.
If you are looking for something a little less binding to purchase your spouse for your first wedding anniversary then try a nice piece of art. You can usually find some nice art posters at the local craft store that you can then have framed, or you can look for a local artist and see what kind of art work they have for sale.
You might also purchasing your spouse (and yourself) a gift basket of card games that you can play together. There really is not better gift that quality time together.
Whatever you decide to purchase for your spouse for your first wedding anniversary, paper or not, you don't need to show your spouse how happy you are to be married to them by going broke. It really is the thought that matters.

Post a CommentA couple of anniversaries ago my hubby had a special gift handmade for me, it is made from a recycled hard back book, it is extremely decorative with paper filigree roses and very ornate gold paper castings. Mine has a poem that we said to each other in place of wedding vows, so it is very special to me, and photo's of us on our wedding day. Many visitors pass comments on the book as it sits on the mantle on its own display stand saying how unusual and beautiful it is. She will make gift books up for almost any occasion ,but with them being a book(paper)and decorated with paper decorations they are particularly suited to a first anniversary gift.

i got thingy for myself and i wanted a tissue paper. this website is so distgusting
I got an anniversary gift from my husband which I can never forget. Without telling me, he got a bunch of pictures from our dating days and got a beautiful video made from them. It was perfectly synchronized to music and because it was professionally made, the results were awesome! It was so romantic and touching, both of us cried for a while watching those moments come alive on the screen!!
