First Years Booster Seat with Tray: The Best Baby Product We Bought

Jean Marquit
There is always the inevitable list of "must have" baby products when you get pregnant. And many of them turn out to be rather unnecessary. However, the First Years baby booster seat with tray really is a must have. It is inexpensive, versatile enough to be useful for years (and sturdy enough, too!), and portable. The booster seat with tray was by far the best baby product we bought in preparation for my son's arrival four years ago. And one of the most reasonably priced at $22. And we're still using it today. This baby product receives my highest rating: 5 stars out of 5.

The baby booster with tray by First Years can do no wrong as far as I am concerned. We bought this item when my son was expected, and we are still using it. One of the great features is the fact that it is adjustable. You can lean it back so that you can use it to feed infants. (Sometimes, when I was at work, my husband tilted it back slightly and propped the bottle against the tray for bottle feedings.) It is great to have a baby chair that can see your child through his or her various stages of development.

The tray, of course, turns the booster into a high chair. A portable high chair. This baby high chair is one that you can take with you. We took it to friends' houses when we went to dinner, and even to grandma and grandpa's when Gavin's cousins were there as well. This way, there is always someplace for him to sit. The straps are great and effectively hold the child as well, so he or she can't fall out of the chair.

The First Years baby booster with tray is also very easy to clean. The lightly padded back is machine washable, and the whole construction is plastic and easy to wash with soap and water. The straps are removable and and machine washable as well. The tray is dishwasher safe.

Now, though, Gavin is four years old. He doesn't need a high chair. But he still needs a boost to reach the table. So, the chair that we bought four years ago as a baby high chair is still in use as his booster seat. It puts him at just the right height for the table, and the First Years baby booster with tray is sturdy enough that it shows no signs of collapsing under the continuous use.

This is a truly must have baby product that lasts well beyond the baby years.
