First-Hand Advice for New Students at Iona College

I am a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and there are thousands of people that enter the university for the first time each semester. One of the things I found most difficult about attending any college being a new student is the feeling of being lost. Since I had very little experience within the areas, I didn't know any places I could go to have fun or get a good meal. I also did not know any of the places to avoid for my own safety. What I wanted was advice from students that had been in similar positions in the past and survived. Iona College has a lot of great nearby places to eat, drink and socialize. As a new student, you should commit to experiencing all of the new places around the college in order to make the best of your experience at a new student at Iona College.

Chicken Joes is a restaurant that is located near the university in New Rochelle, NY. The address is 768 North Avenue and they close at 930PM each night. This is a great place to eat because you can buy an amazing burger for $5.50 that comes with a drink and fries. Their seasoning is amazing and they put it on every dish. They also have great chicken, hushpuppies and chilli and all of these come in most plates. Also, all of their specials come with a free soda and this means if you need free food then this is the place. It offers great greasy and affordable food.

Dudley's Parkview Restaurant is a pub located nearby Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. They are located at 94 Hudson Park Road and they close at 2AM every night. They have waterfront dining with seating on a dock. They also have a full bar and there is no cover. The drinks are pretty good and will only run you $2 each. This is one of the best places for a new student of Iona College because it has everything you will love.

The Boys & Girls Club of America located at 116 Guion Place in New Rochelle, NY is a great place for any new student. You will become a part of the community and meet new friends here and you can even teach classes. They are open until 11PM each night and they have free tutoring for any new college student
