Being a first time mom you can worry about a lot of things about your newborn baby. Somethings that new moms worry about are things like spit-up. A lot of mothers become concern with the fact that there newborn spit-up what seems to be a ton everyday all day. From the time of birth until around 3 months it is perfectly normal for a baby to spit-up in large quantities. A baby can spit-up 10 to 13 times a day and there is still nothing to worry about. If your child is not gaining weight, or is gaining very slowly, or if your baby seem to have discomfort right before, or right after spitting up this should be a concern, but if not then your baby is fine.

Crying doing the beginning months is no surprise. Don't be panicking because it seems as if your baby is crying endlessly. Note that you don't have to be doing anything wrong for your baby to be very fussy. When the time comes for your baby to start eating solid foods don't be alarmed if your baby hates mostly everything that you try to give to them. Some babies like mostly any foods while others are very picky eaters. Note that it is okay for your child not to eat solid foods for the first year milk will be just fine. Offering solid foods before the first year can be a great thing, or just a learning experience for your baby to learn to eat. Starting off with rice cereal have been known to be a good challenge.

New mother's worry about everything even when it's been a couple of days and there had been no bowel movement. In the first months of life it is perfectly normal to slow down with the pooping. Long as your baby poop is mushy, soft, and not difficult to pass then there is nothing to worry about. The only time to be concern is when there is screaming or crying while trying to make a bowel movement. If the bowel movements are hard balls you should consult your pediatrician because this is a sign of constipation.

Another worrisome thing that new mothers worry about all the time are fevers. Most mothers are extremely alarmed by a fever that is 103 to 104, but just because a temperature seems high, but as a baby this is normal and want cause problems. If your baby temperature last longer then a day without breaking you should call your pediatrician right away. Note that a high fever in babies can be a sign that your baby can fight off infections and there immune system is working to fight off any infection. Ear infections, upper respiratory infection, or a stomach virus are the most common reasons why babies get high fevers, but know that your baby will get better and this is a normal part of growing.
