Fisher-Price Color Splash Laptop - Product Review

I try to buy for all my children as much as I can. If I have the money, then I'm going to buy whatever they want. My second-youngest child wanted a laptop, so I wanted to find something that was going to worth his time.

At first he was talking about getting a real laptop but I was against that. I'm not into buying really expensive electronics for children of a young age. I went to Wal-Mart and found the Fisher-Price color splash laptop. The only reason I bought this laptop was because it was cute, I must be honest. I know that's not a great reason to purchase anything but I mean it was the first thing I noticed so it is what it is.
I actually like the way the laptop looks feature wise and I'm still trying to understand how it works but for the most part I think its' a decent laptop. I only paid $50 for it and that was a sale. I figure why not make the best out of it, my son seems to like it so that's all that really matters.

What I like about the Fisher-Price color splash laptop

I'm just going to be down right honest about the Fisher-Price color splash laptop, the main thing that I liked about it was the fact that it had a section for the mouse. I thought it was extremely cute how the mouse sits up on a small tablet. After my son is done with the mouse all he has to do is slide the mouse into his laptop and go about his business. How cute is that? Me personally, I think that it's amazingly cute

Another thing I like about the Fisher-Price color splash laptop is that it's educational. This laptop comes with so many different learning games that your child has no other chose but to learn. Now don't get me wrong, I have had some issues with trying to get my child to actually sit down and play it because it wasn't' one of those gaming systems he likes. But I figure that there has to come a time when a child needs to learn and not just play.

The Fisher-Price color splash laptop has tons of learning games that will engage your child. The only section my son visits in the mathematics section. Other than that he doesn't really utilize any of the other games.

What I don't like about the Fisher-Price color splash laptop

The only thing I didn't like about the Fisher-Price color splash laptop is the screen size. I found that the screen size was extremely small and honestly I Think that it could be much bigger. My son has a hard time seeing the words on the screen but I also think much of that has a lot to do with the fact that the screen is black and white. I think that is another aspect that I would change about the Fisher-Price color splash laptop as well. I believe that these computers would be much better if they came in color.

My conclusion?

I think that the Fisher-Price color splash laptop is a great laptop if your child actually uses it. These type of laptops are not as entertaining as us parents want them to be. But if you sit down and play with it with your child, they will better understand how it works and what to do with it.
