Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot and Cheap Sasquatch Christmas Gifts

Anne Wright
The Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot is being advertised as a hot toy for Christmas. See if you should spend $100 for this Bigfoot toy or look for these 5 cheaper Sasquatch gifts.

Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot the Monster: This 14 inch tall remote control Bigfoot toy talks, walks, throws a ball, and burps. He's recommended for ages 36 months to 8 years. One reviewer at Amazon warns that her 4 year old son enjoyed his headstand but got tired of him within a few days, and he throws like a girl. Okay, some girls can throw, but it would be a lot cheaper to teach any kid to do a handstand themselves. (list price $112.99)

Sasquatch Footprints: What's not to love about a website that asks if you've got a skull to sell? Skulls Unlimited has lots of stuff for medical students and little kids who can learn some science while enjoying gross stuff. They sell plaster replica footprints of impressions made by the late Dr. Grover Krantz, Professor of Anthropology at Washington State University and a famed Bigfoot researcher. Or just use the idea to craft your own. ($48 each or $90 a pair)

Cryptozoological Play Set: You can get five monsters at one-fifth the price of a single Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot. This set has 2 to 4 inch vinyl versions of the big guy plus Chupacabra, Jersey Devil, Mothman and the Loch Ness Monster. ($17.95)

Bigfoot Christmas Tree Ornament: He lives in the woods so why not hang him from a tree? This full length glass ornament is a big 4 and a half inches tall with a silver cord for hanging. He's even got a big grin on his face. ($8.99)

Baby Sasquatch Toy: For pets or people, this is one cute Bigfoot toy. Your dog will love this fake fur squeaky toy but it would also work great for kids or a fun decoration. It comes in two sizes of 10 inches or 14 inches tall in lime green, turquoise blue or golden yellow. ($19)

Bigfoot Action Figure: The Bigfoot Museum store says they still have a few of these discontinued 7 inch vinyl figures ($29.95). If they do run out, you can always get the 2 and a half inch key ring with a miniature footprint. ($4.85)

You can go wild at Christmas with a Bigfoot toy even if you don't want to pay full price for the Fisher-Price Imaginext Bigfoot the Monster.
