Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers: A Review

Quality and Affordability!

When our 3 ½ year old Fisher Price baby monitor finally bit the dust, we starting searching for a new one. Since our original Fisher Price brand baby monitor had done a good job for us for the amount of use and abuse it endured, we decided to stick with Fisher Price and chose the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers from Target. So far we have been very happy with our decision to purchase the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers.

You may first be wondering why we are still using a monitor for our 3 ½ year old. The way our house is constructed, all bedrooms are upstairs and near the front of the house. The family room, where my husband and I spend most of our time after our son goes to bed, is at the opposite end of the house on the ground floor. This fact makes a monitor a necessity for us. When pricing baby monitors we found the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers appeared to be a good value. With a regular price of $59.99, the $39 Target sale price for the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers seemed like an excellent one.

When we got the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers, I was immediately impressed by the small and sleek design of both the monitor base and the receivers. The Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers is more compact than our older Fisher Price monitor and it just looks higher quality. The monitor base of the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers is so compact and sleek it is barely noticeable in our son's bedroom.

The clarity of the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers is very good. While we do get some feedback from cell phones and other obstructions, so far we have had no problems picking up even small sounds from our son's bedroom. We are able to clip the receivers from the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers and even take them outside of the house and they still pick up sounds perfectly well. Since we live on a fairly busy road, and around many other houses, it is crucial that the monitor stand up against interference, which it does well. Having 10 channels to choose from on the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers is certainly a plus.

The biggest advantage we have found with the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers over our older monitor is how long the receivers maintain a charge. The rechargeable batteries in the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers consistently keep their charge for 10-12 hours. This makes always having a well charged receiver very easy and convenient.

Overall I find the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers to be an excellent baby monitor, especially for the affordable price. While I have read some reviews of this product that complain of interference from outside sources, the Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers does not pick up as much interference as some other monitors, and I am afraid that no monitor can withstand all of the air pollution clouding our air. If you are a looking for a good quality monitor that picks up sounds well, has a long charge, and an excellent distance range, then the affordable Fisher-Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers may be the way to go.
