My husband felt I could use a make over in the bath time area so he went out and bought the baby a Fisher-Price rainforest bath center for $30. I have no idea what he was thinking when he bought it but to be honest I think it was a great idea. The Fisher-Price rainforest bath center makes giving baths a lot more fun and lot more easy.
What I like about the Fisher-Price rainforest bath center
What I like the most about the Fisher-Price rainforest bath center is that it was cheap, of course. I love anything that doesn't break the bank. And the other thing that I like was the fact that it was light weight. It being light weight made my life less stressful when it came to bath time.
Most of the tubs I've dealt with were a hassle which made me not even want to give my baby a bath!
Another thing I liked about the Fisher-Price rainforest bath center was that it comes with a sling that keeps your baby from slipping and sliding. When I first used it I had a bit of trouble because I didn't have it fastened good enough. My baby kept slipping and his butt was touching the divider but once I tightened the ends, he was perfectly fine.
Unlike most baby tubs I've dealt with the Fisher-Price rainforest bath center dried very quickly, I Didn't have to wipe it down or anything like that. All had to do was sit it to the side and it would dry in less than 15 minutes.
It comes with cute little toys that detach from it so your baby can play with it during bath time. MY son doesn't find interest in the toys. He finds more interest in the design of the tub and all of the colors.
What I didn't like about the Fisher-Price rainforest bath center
Ok we all know that there was things I didn't like about this tub. The one thing was that it was a bit flimsy. Its not sturdy the way that it should be which makes it hard to give baths to my son now that he has gotten a bit heavier. I think that this tub is great for newborns but horrible for infants.
Another thing I didn't like was that even though it dries easily, it was extremely hard to clean. Cleaning the Fisher-Price rainforest bath center became nothing more than a chore for me. I eventually stopped using it.
My conclusion?
The Fisher-Price rainforest bath center is great for newborns and that I will admit. But if you are looking for a tub for your infant then this might not be what you are looking for. It's neat when it comes to the feature part but other than that you would be better off just purchasing a regular baby tub.
