Fisher-Price Rainforest Playard by Simplicity Review

We received the Fisher-Price Rainforest Playard as a gift for the arrival of our new little one. I originally intended on purchasing a Graco TotBlock pack and play, but after receiving this one I think I prefer this one over the other. This playard comes equipped with almost all the furniture you would need for a nursery. It comes with the changing table, bassinet, and playard all in one. It also comes with storage pockets you can hook on as well as an electronic mobile.

The changing table can come in handy for changing a smaller baby but I rarely needed it because the bassinet is at a reasonable height for changing as well. The bassinet is one of my favorite options on this playard. Not only is it wonderful for younger babies, but it can also hold babies that may be to big for the traditional bassinet. At four months of age weighing almost sixteen pounds he still has plenty of room to grow.

The snap on storage pockets make it really easy to store diapers and toys keeping them close at hand. I love that they are not to big where they stick out very much, but they are not so small you can barely put anything in them.

The mattress pad that comes with the playard is super easy to clean and maintain. I usually put a sheet on to prevent the baby from messing it up, but when he does spit up on the mattress I can easily wipe up the mess leaving no stains behind, even if I can't get to the mess right away.

The mobile is wonderful on this playard as it easily snaps on and off and has a volume control for the music it plays. However, you should be cautious when pulling the mobile off from it's base as the wires can easily break. This happened while I was setting up the playard but I called the number on the manual and Fisher Price quickly shipped me a replacement mobile for the unit without any hassles. I have not had any problems with the replacement so far.

Setting up this playard was a breeze as it easy to assemble requiring no tools except to place batteries in the mobile, if my memory serves me right.

Overall, this was a wonderful gift and I love this playard as does my little son. It goes for around one hundred dollars online, and I personally think it's well worth the price.
