Fisher-Price Sesame Street Learning Fun Laptop - Review

The Fisher-Price Sesame Street Learning Fun Laptop is a wonderful toy for young children that will help them grow and learn rather than just waste time. The product costs $29.99 and is well worth it for the number of things it is capable of doing. The laptop is designed for children 18 months and older, but I feel like it is more appropriate for 2 to 3 year olds. It has many different options so that it will be able to grow with your child and be useful for a long time. The Sesame Street show is great for teaching children the basics that they should learn before they start school, and this laptop adds to the skills they pick up from the show.

The laptop is red and white. It is designed to look like Elmo, which definitely thrilled my daughter since he is her favorite Sesame Street character. She is excited to have a laptop just like mine that she can play with, and I am glad that she no longer wants to play with my expensive one.

The Learning Fun Laptop helps very young children to prepare themselves for preschool so that they will be ahead of their classmates and ready to learn more. The product is designed to teach things like letters, numbers, colors, and shapes.

The product comes with four cards that can be inserted to teach different things. They are easy to insert and remove so that my child can do it on her own. To start a question, the child must pull down on the lever on the side. Then, the laptop asks a question out loud and the child is required to press the correct button on the "keyboard" to answer the question. I have noticed that younger kids sometimes have a hard time not pressing buttons before the question finishes.

A problem I have noticed is that the top of the laptop is heavier than the base so the toy tips over backwards when you set it up. Using it on a hard surface such as a table helps this problem but I wish it could be played with on the carpet.

The product's electronics have worked well for us so far. My daughter is still on the younger end of the intended age range but I have noticed that she has learned a few things from it and seems to still be interested in continuing to play with it, which makes it worth it to me.
