FIT and TRIM

Kathryn Neff Perry
I think I have always tried to be health conscious, and I've tried to teach my children to eat right and to get enough sleep and exercise.

So where did I go wrong? How can they live on the stuff they eat?
My son eats a steady diet of chocolate chip cookies and gallons of milk. He has probably eaten a million boxes of cereal.
Now my daughter on the other hand, eats macaroni and cheese and tacos.
My husband eats anything on the table. He even chews paper.
Amy and I try to diet. We work out several days a week and try to stay fit.
I nag at my son to get more exercise. I even offered to let him mow the lawn. He said he had to get ready for work. I reminded him it was only Tuesday and he didn't have to work until Friday.
My husband tells me once a week that "tomorrow" he's going to start working out. He usually does wake up and start to do push-ups. He does five and then yells at me to look up the number for the emergency squad. He won't listen when I tell him to start out slow.
Amy and I just recently started a new exercise program, so maybe that's why I've been having such crazy dreams. The other morning as I was waking up, I realized I was having serious chest pains. I could hardly breathe and my entire body felt rigid. While I was still half asleep'"I thought this can't be happening to me---then I realized my fat little dog, KOKO had slept on my chest most of the night!
