CROSSFIT:
Over the last few months, there has been a CrossFit phenomenon. CrossFit is not a new form of exercise, but it has recently been the latest hype in fitness and strength training. For years, CrossFit has been a conditioning program for many police academies, fire departments, military special operations units and tactical operations teams, and professional athletes such as martial artists.
Now the exercise course if offered to just about anyone who is willing to endure an intense exercise program which features an assortment of dynamic exercises. No two classes are ever the same, with hundreds of different exercises used in alternating routines to create a unique experience each time. Traditional exercises include plyometric jumps, and Olympic lifts while using non-traditional equipment such as kettlbells, sand-bags, or water-filled implements. The challenging part of CrossFit, is completing the number of repetitions in each unique set, sometimes over 100 reps of one exercize can be expected. Some CrossFit facilities will even separate the classes in teams, challenging each student to compete against each other. So what areas of the body benefit from CrossFit? The good news, all of them. Each routine mixes up the target training areas within each session giving your body a full body workout.
ZUMBA:
Zumba Fitness first appeared in the 90's and became popular for its original approach to fitness. The exercise program is composed of Latin-inspired dance-fitness exercises that infuse international upbeat music with contagious steps to form a fitness dance party.
Zumba faded over the years with the rise of newer and fresher forms of exercise but its once again becoming a fitness trend. Perhaps, its popularity is influenced by reality shows such as "Dancing with the Stars" and "America's Best Dance Crews". What will your body benefit from Zumba? A typical one hour class will help you shed tons of calories, gain bone strength and density, strength and flexibility.
POLE DANCING:
Pole Dance is taught by experienced instructors in small and intimate classes. Students practice dance moves, spins, twirls and tricks on their own stripper pole. This fitness exercise that began trending from celebrities is now coveted by everyday women.
Although it takes great arm and leg strength to execute the advanced climbs and tricks against the pole, it's also beneficial for both its physical and mental empowerment.
