Pros
Assembling the Fitness Master X is a piece of cake. All the tools are included and the assembly manual is easy to understand. It only takes six steps to complete the assembly so you can finish everything in about half an hour. The assembled unit itself feels sturdy and shows that it's a high quality machine.
Riding the bike feels smooth. Even when you're pedaling as fast as you can the bike doesn't wobble. It is also a quiet machine because it is belt driven instead of chain. The pedals also have straps that do a great job in keeping your feet in place.
This bike has enough tension levels to keep you motivated and the tension knob is quick to respond too. There isn't any noticeable lag when changing between tension levels. The seat on this bike can be adjusted up or down, back or forward. You can also adjust the handle bar so whether you're a tall or short person you can adjust the bike to get the best position.
Another thing worth mentioning is the handle bars. Unlike most bikes the handles on Fitness Master X Series can be held in various positions. You can hold it in any way you feel most comfortable.
Cons
This bike weighs about 150 pounds so moving it around would be a real challenge. Just make sure you assemble it near or right on the spot where you want to keep it. Even though it got small wheels on the front it's still a heavy piece of equipment to push around.
The second grief is the seat. Needless to say after a twenty minutes exercise on it you will end up with a sore bottom. If you care about that part of your body you should buy foam pad or gel seat.
Conclusion
The Fitness Master X Series Momentum Indoor Cycling Bike is a good basic bike. It's solidly built and would probably last five years or even more. However, if you buy this you still need to invest in a good gel seat cover or foam pad to make it more comfortable. If that doesn't bother then go for it. This is in fact a great bike to have at home.
