FITNESS SUCCESS STORIES

Sir Oldman
In 1976 at age 47, my six years of recovery from alcoholism had made amazing changes in many aspects of my life, but physical fitness was not yet an area of achievement. Shortly after moving 600 miles for a new job, my curiosity was activated by an odd looking building being built in my new home city. It turned out to be a gym with racquet ball courts, and it also turned out to be the kick start of my efforts to achieve and maintain a healthy body.

In 1998, my son was getting married. Wanting to look my best prompted me to hire a professional personal trainer. My work outs were one hour a day three times a week for 90 days, and my favorite machine was the leg press. My trainer caused quite a stir as he ran around the gym yelling "he is 70 years old and pressing 500 pounds!". Results? Move over Mr. Movie Star!

This year my special effort was prompted by the desire to have the finest looking body at my 80th birthday event. This birthday was made extra special by happening on Memorial Day with a full gathering of my family and a very nicely buffed out, strong and healthy body!

It is sad that so many people miss the pleasure and health of a fit body. I hope you will find your reason to take care of your body so your body can take care of you.
