Five Annoying Things About Women

I recently wrote about the five things men do that drive me crazy. Since I'm all for equal opportunity, now it's the women's turn. Yes, I'm a female, but even I can admit that there are five things women do that drive me nuts.

1. Being Obsessed with their Appearance

Men, don't fret - you aren't the only ones being asked "Do these jeans make me look fat?" Nothing annoys me more than watching women obsess over a number on the scale, or refuse to eat anything but carrots because they gained (gasp!) one pound last week. The real sign of a woman obsessed with her appearance is when she wears matching gym outfits, complete with coordinated makeup and hat. That is, assuming she hasn't done up her hair like she's going out to a bar.

2. Pursuing Married Men

Especially with the Tiger Woods fiasco, this one drives me absolutely nuts. Yes, married men have a responsibility to be faithful, but women are just as much at fault. What is it that women don't understand about a married man being off limits? It's plainly evident that adulterers are not leaving their wives for their mistresses. And even if he did, you can bet your life savings that he will cheat on you, too! Just because a married man is attracted to you or pursues you doesn't mean you're free of guilt.

3. Creating Distractions During Sporting Events

This one is particularly annoying to me because I really love football. I went to a football party once, and all the men were shocked when I stayed in the den to watch the game with them when all the girlfriends/wives congregated in the kitchen to talk. What was worse was listening to the girls blabber on during the game-winning field goal try. Top that with, when you're actually at a game, the women who can't just sit and watch - they're constantly up and down, excusing themselves through the bleachers, to get drinks, take phone calls, take group bathroom trips - well, you get the idea. Just sit down, shut up and watch the game! (Or stay home.)

4. Wearing Club Clothes to the Office

I'm not a man, and definitely not into women romantically. So when a woman's shirt bares so much cleavage that even I can't help but look, you know you're dressing inappropriately for the office. Thanks to the stupid night-time soap operas like Grey's Anatomy and the Victoria's Secret catalog, women somehow think it's appropriate to wear low-cut tops and micro-minis to the office. It's not appropriate, even if you're Giselle.

5. Gold Digging

I consider myself a pretty successful woman. I take care of myself, pay my own bills and don't need a man to do it for me. So it's highly annoying when so many women just want a meal ticket through their boyfriend/husband. Because down the line, when those relationships fail, I have to overcome that man's fear that I'm also a gold digger. It's also insulting to my gender that some women feel the only way to "make it" is to marry a rich guy. Put your brain to use and be successful on your own merits!
