L'Oreal HIP Concentrated Shadow Duo
This shadow has the best of both things you want in an eyeshadow. A great blendable color, and long wearing. This shadow does last a long time, and does such a great job you can even use it as an eyeliner. The one caveat about this shadow, is the pigment tends to be 'inky' so you need to use a light hand, and blend very well.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Shadow Creme
This is a creme based shadow that lasts a whopping 15 hours. It does have a bit of a heavy texture, but it doesn't get cakey or heavy looking. Another luxury brand, if you are a creme shadow user, a good investment. The only problem is you can't blend a creme shadow as well as a powder, but these colors are beautiful on their own.
Nars Duo Eyeshadow
This is an expensive luxury brand, but it is the best if you love neutral eyeshadows, and want them to last all day. Because this formula will not come off, but it goes on so feather light, you hardly even know it's on. The bold colors available go on sheer, so you can layer to achieve pigment, rather than having to be careful and blending away later.
MAC Paint Pot
This is the most versatile of the list because there are so many different uses for this formula. You can use it as a shadow base to make your powder colors last forever. By itself the colors can be layered or worn alone, and unlike a lot of creme shadows, this formula comes in several different finishes like shimmery, matte and pearl.
Make Up Forever Eyeshadow
This mid priced powder shadow does everything a powder eyeshadow should It goes on light, doesn't cake or crease, and lasts all day. This brand wins as far as color choices and finishes, because you will not find a better selection out there. There are only 3 finishes though, so that is slightly limiting. But if you want straight up color, this is the brand for you.
Hopefully this list will take some of the guesswork out of buying a long wearing eyeshadow for you. Drugstore, luxury, creme or powder, all kinds made the list. It takes a little research, but there's a great long wearing shadow for every formula and price point.
