One very easy way to decorate for St. Patrick's Day is to get a table runner or cloth that you could use for your kitchen table. You can measure your dining room table to see how big it is and then go to a craft store or fabric store and pick up that much yardage of green felt or other green fabrics. If you do not want to spend the 10 dollars it would cost to buy the fabric for your green dining room table, you can pick up a cheap table runner at your local retail store for about five dollars. You can look in the clearance section of the fabric department to see what colors they have that would reflect the decorative style of St. Patrick's Day and then choose that to place on your table. Getting a table runner in green would be the best idea and you can choose to spend as much or as little as you want by shopping in the clearance bins first. Adding a St. Patrick's Day decorative table runner is sure to make a statement when you walk into your home and will really go a long way in helping your home look festive for the holiday.
You can also add green trimmings to your doors and frames for some easy and inexpensive St. Patrick's Day decorating. You can get long strips of green banner or green ribbon at your local craft store for about five dollars and it can be placed anywhere in your house. Whether you want to add trimmings to your door or you want a border around your living room, you can do anything you want with the green trimmings and banners. For an added St. Patrick's Day decoration you can use clover tacks to hold the banners up in place around your house. This is a very inexpensive idea and the best part about this St. Patrick's Day decoration idea is that you can use the green trimmings a little bit of everywhere around your house.
If you have a lot of flowers and vases in your home you can also use this as a decoration theme. You can tie green ribbons around the vases and make it look like a ribbon. Using green ribbon to tie around vases is a very inexpensive idea because green ribbon is about two dollars at your local craft store for a big roll. You can use the green ribbon on the vases or you can tie the vases together using the green ribbon to make like a connection of vases and flowers. Adding green ribbon to simple things around your house like a vase is a very easy and quick way to add the St. Patrick's Day feel to any part of your house. You can also tie the green ribbon around door handles or lampshades to make the whole room look even more decorative for St. Patrick's Day.
You can also get Spring Clover party accessories that could add a lot of decoration to your home fairly cheap. If you go to your local party favor store they will have a selection of St. Patrick's Day items like paper plates and napkins along with drinking cups that you could buy to help decorate your house for St. Patrick's Day. These plates and other party favors will cost you about 15 dollars for everything and you can use it on your newly purchased green table runner. Party favors like plates and cups can help decorate your home in the St. Patrick's Day spirit as well as provide some very easy cleaning if you happen to have a St. Patrick's Day party.
You can also decorate your bathroom in St. Patrick's Day spirit by using nothing but green towels and washcloths in the bathroom. You can get some green towels and washcloths at your local retail store for about ten dollars and then you can hang them up in the bathroom as a decoration. While in the bathroom you can also get some green spray paint at your local hardware store and paint your bathroom trashcan green also. If green paint is something you do not want to do you can just wrap your trashcan in green construction paper to make a green-themed bathroom. You can also get a green mat for your bathroom floor at your local retail store for about five dollars and that would also add a very decorative touch for St. Patrick's Day. You can really just use your imagination and use green items around your house for decoration ideas too if you do not want to spend the money on St. Patrick's Day decorations.
