I know. You want to be swept off your feet and woo this guy with everything you got. There's nothing wrong with that but too often, you end up moving too fast and making some serious mistakes. These mistakes can destroy a potentially good relationship or at least make it much more difficult. Here are five common not so smart dating moves commonly made by women.

Love At First Sight

I know what you're thinking. "He's a guitar player and I've always wanted a man that was a musician. He is over six foot tall, has black hair and brown eyes and I've always dreamed of having a man who looked like that. I was "in love" with him the first time I laid eyes on him." Let me guess, I didn't work out, did it? Hear me and hear me well. Read this sentence over and over again. Write it down two hundred times and memorize it. Burn it into your brain. "There is NO SUCH THING as love at first sight." You're not thirteen anymore. What were you thinking? You didn't know anything about this guy. And you were shocked at the fact that he was addicted to porn, spent $100 in the bar every Friday and every Saturday night? Do NOT base whether or not you're in love with someone on how he looks, how he dresses or what he does in his spare time. He may be a real tool as far as his personality goes.

You Have Sex Too Early With Him

Now just because the guy took you up on it or he made the first move does not mean that he is going to have any respect for you after you have sex with him too early. I used to have women coming on to me when I was playing guitar and singing in a band. They wanted to take me home for the night. The first thing that came to my mind at during those times was, "She wants to have sex with me based on my voice and guitar playing skills, she may be mildly attracted to me but if it's that easy to get her in bed, how many guys has she been with in the last month?" If I'm having sex with a woman, I want to know that she is giving herself to me because she cares for me or has feelings for me. I KNOW that love at first sight doesn't exist, I KNOW she doesn't really know anything about me. I KNOW that if I have sex with her, I'll just be another notch on her belt. That's fine for some guys, but not for me. If you have sex with a guy too early, he's not likely to have much respect for you. Make him wait for a month or so. If he's worth it, he'll still be there when you're ready.

Falling In Love With A Guy Who's Married Or Taken

If you're in a relationship with a married or taken man, what makes you think that you're so special that he's not going to cheat on you, too. Don't be fooled into thinking that he won't stray. If he's straying on his wife or girlfriend, he's likely to do it to you too after the newness wears off. Don't even entertain the thought of even getting anything started with a married or taken man.

Not Letting The Guy Know That You're Looking For A Serious Relationship

So many times, a women gets her heart broken when she does not make her intentions clear at the beginning. If you're looking for a serious relationship, let the guy know this immediately. The first date is a good time to do this. You don't want to end up assuming that you're in a serious relationship with a guy if he's not on the same page. You need to clearly let him know what you want out of the relationship. He can't read your mind.

Ignoring Red Flags

Did it honestly take you three months into the relationship to realize that him still living with his mother at 32, being almost thirty thousand dollars in debt, and never really being in a serious relationship before you, were not bright red flags? Pay attention to these things. Do you really want to get serious with a mamma's boy, over his head in debt, romantically challenged guy? Learn to properly recognize the red flags and once you spot them, run for your life.
