Cookies for Calorie Counters - Kashi Cookies
Kashi makes a few different varieties of cookies, including two absolutely delectable Oatmeal flavors. Kashi's Oatmeal Dark Chocolate and Oatmeal Raisin flax cookies are both acceptable choices for a dieter who wants a treat without flinging caution totally to the wind - both are also 100% tasty. One dark chocolate cookie has only 150 calories and contains a whopping 4 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein. Four grams of fiber is going to take a good percentage out of your daily fiber requirements in one delicious cookie. Despite their "healthy" status, these Kashi cookies taste great. They are moist and full of flavor!
Cookies for Calorie Counters - Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers has a few different cookie options available for consumers. Among their best is the Weight Watchers Soft Peanut Butter Cookie which has a Weight Watchers Point value of 1. These cookies contain 90 calories each but, like Kashi, serve up 4 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein within their calories. 90 calories is less than the amount served up in one tablespoon of peanut butter!
Cookies for Calorie Counters - Snackwell's Devil's Food Cookies
The reason these cookies are known as the Devil's Food are because they should come with a "bet you can't eat just one warning label." However, if you can cut the taste buds off at one or two of these treats, you will not do yourself any real dietary harm. According to the box, one Snackwell's Devil Cookie contains 50 calories. Unfortunately, these moist vixens contain only 1 gram of protein and no fiber. These would best be limited to all but the most exclusive dessert occasions!
Cookies for Calorie Counters - Nabisco Oreo Snack Cakes
Nabisco has 100 calorie packs of several of their consumer-favorite products, including Oreo cookies. While these snacks only contain 100 calories per pack, several packages come in a box. If you do not have a lot of self-control built-up in your calorie counting bank yet, these are best avoided for the time being. If you do have self-control though, consider buying a package. They are a great "treat" food when you want something sweet but do not want to sacrifice dietary progress for an indulgence.
Cookies for Calorie Counters - Do-It-Yourself
If you are counting calories, never underestimate the low-calorie cookie options you can whip up for yourself. With a few nutrient dense foods like oatmeal, soymilk, fresh eggs, and dried fruit you can whip up your own low calorie masterpieces in a matter of minutes. You could also invest in a package of your favorite cookies and separate the larger package into several smaller bags that are more diet and calorie-budget friendly.
When you are dieting or counting calories, treats should still be a part of your life but make sure they are eaten in moderation.
