Five Easy Steps to Keeping Your House Clean

S. Morris
As a person and a parent. I know how easy a house can become messy. Hectic days, from work, to kid's, to daily errands. It can leave us no real time to keep up on our houses. Things set here and a couple dishes there. Now by the end of the week our house needs extreme cleaning. To me, and many more, that is just too much! So here are five steps to keep it all under control.

One thing in my house that piles up, in random places, is our laundry. Between school, work, and our every day life. There seems to be laundry strewn about the house. So a quick fix and easy step for all. Put laundry baskets, big and small, throughout the house. One in every room possible. Make sure there is one in the bathroom! Also if you have a linen shelf or closet, put one in there. Try to remind kid's to use them! Also a good thing to help you with easy sorting, those multi-laundry baskets.

Okay if you have a two year old, younger or older even, as I do. Then you know how messy they can get throughout the day. So one day I just started carrying two wash cloths on me. He always gets into something or just eats a lot! So messy hands hands and everything else he leaves behind him. So I just needed to be more prepared every day. I put the two, different colored, wash cloths on a clip. One that can hook on and off my pant loop with ease. What I do is use one for each different kind of mess. One for spills and one for his hands and face. It makes keeping up on messes much easier. No more stickies anywhere!

Needing to go somewhere? Shopping, appointments, or anything else? Trying to find a outfit for the kid's in a hurry? Well there are no matches to be found and all their clothes are in different places. Well try this easy step to keep up messes with the clothes and keep you ready for anything that might pop up. The next time you do the laundry, Sort their clothes to pairs. Fold the outfit together or hang it on a hanger together. Put together seven outfits for each week. You will be ready everyday! Makes things work more easier. I loved this when I started doing it, you will to!

Always be sure to have a mail caddy. The best place is in close range to the door. Where it will be brought in. So when you walk in your house with all the mail,l it is set in one place and it makes it easier to find. So that way your bills are not lost and mail is not put in random places. Be sure to keep a slot in the caddy for your children's schoolwork, that way that isn't lost and it gets done on time. So that's a way for the whole family to stay organized!

One helpful tip and the last of our steps to maintaining the house. This step will be mainly fore the kid's. We are always telling them," No Toy's Out Of Your Room!" Do they listen? No, most of the time they do not. So a good idea, in case the toddler lays a few out around the house. Have a small sized, maybe medium, box in an unnoticeable place. Like a shelf out of direct site. Or an empty cupboard space. Keep it there all the time. That way if you have a few people stopping by unexpectedly. You have a quick fix to get them up and out of the way. A great solution to some small messes.

I hope these five steps can help keep your house up a bit and organized. Through all the hectic parts of your life. I also hope it helps to make your life a little easier. These five steps have helped me and my every day life. Try them, they could help you too!
