Five Easy Style Tips

In our world today, there are so many pressures to look a certain or to dress in the current fashion. Many of us get either obsessed or depressed about our personal appearance. We don't need to fall into the trap of the media; we have enough stress as it is. The following information consists of five styling tips that, if sincerely followed, will cure any pressures you may feel about your appearance.

Rule Number 1:

The beauty comes from the inside. It's been said over and over and you're probably tired of hearing it...but it wouldn't be said so many times if it weren't true/ Yes, it's good to be in fashion and it's nice to have a beautiful appearance, but it's your personality that truly draws people to you. If you're considerate, kind, polite, and have good manners, no matter whether you're wearing sweats or a formal dress, you will be very hard to miss!

Rule Number 2:

Be yourself. There's no reason to undergo the pressure that fashion magazines and TV shows put on people to be "in." You can look just as up to date as anybody by creating your own style. Try new things like wearing hats or putting a belt over your shirt instead of under it. Long necklaces are also extremely fun and flexible. You could loop it once and pull it so that the top part is tight against your neck and the other is loose and hanging low, or you could loop it three times and evenly space them so that it creates a full layered look. Just keep experimenting and eventually you will find the look that best suits you.

Rule Number 3:

Brands don't matter. You don't have to spend 30 dollars on one shirt or 100 plus dollars on one outfit. In my opinion, shopping at department stores instead of stores in the mall is better. Department stores carry the same basic styles, the quality is comparable and you will spend a lot less. Remember, you really don't need to worry about the brand. Trying shopping at other stores; you'll be surprised at what you find!

Rule Number 4:

When in doubt about the size, go for the large. You can look just as beautiful as anyone else if you're wearing a large. People can't see the tags and it really doesn't matter! Instead of worrying about what size you're getting, worry about the quality and color of the clothing, how it makes you feel and how it looks on you. For example, if you're a brunette, go for clothes in darker colors. They'll deepen your skin-tone and blend with your hair instead of creating a harsh contrast. On the other hand, if you're a blonde, go ahead and get the pastels and bright colors. They'll bring our your eyes and give your skin a richer tone. Remember, it's the type of shirt that makes you beautiful, not the size.

Rule Number 5:

Hair flows the way it wants, so stop trying to go against it! How many people each day do you hear saying, "My hair just didn't want to work with me this morning!"? Hair has its own personality, and you can either work with it, or against it.

If you have curly hair, one of the easiest ways to style it is to use a diffuser and some gel. First, wash your hair and scrunch the gel into your wet hair. Attach the diffuser to the end of your hair dryer, turn on the dryer, and go crazy until your hair is dry. If afterward, the top or any other part of your hair is not curling as you desire, apply aerosol hairspray to the roots and hold the diffuser to that spot for a few seconds. After you've sprayed and diffused to your liking, you can either keep it down or pin it up in your normal way, resulting in a beautiful array of your natural curls.

If you have straight hair, try new styles, like a messy bun or a half ponytail. Curling irons are also very useful, Try taking a pinch of the top layer of hair and winding around the iron so each loop is evenly spaced, spray with any type of hairspray. Hold it for 10-15 seconds. After the time is up, carefully unwind your hair from the iron. You will be left with a beautiful ringlet and, if you repeat this around the top layer of your hair, an elegant style that shows off your gorgeous hair! Again, don't work against your natural hair, there is always a way to make it beautiful.

The next time you look in the mirror, keep these tips in mind. Apply them right away and you'll be amazed at how thoroughly and quickly they'll take effect. And, remember, there's no reason to be pressured by advertisements or pictures you see in magazines or on the TV; you beautiful just by being yourself!
