Five Energy Saving Dryers

Della R. Buckland
If you are looking to replace or purchase a new dryer for your home, consider one that saves energy. Energy Star rates are not given to every machine. The machine must follow strict guidelines set out by both the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Department of Energy (DOE). Once it has received the rating, it has been proven to save the consumer money as it uses 10% to 50% less energy, thus putting more money into the owners pocket because of its lower cost. Further, the machines that receive the Energy Star rating prevent greenhouse gas emissions to help the environment.

The machines listed below have received such a rating and were chosen based on price, ease of use as well as options and size for each machine. These dryers can be purchased at your local home improvement store such as Home Depot or Lowe's. Both companies offer in store and online sale prices on each item.
