Five Fall Wedding Fashion Trends for Men

Five Trends for the Groom

Men don't get a lot of publicity when it comes to wedding organization. The stereotypical idea is of the detail-obsessed bride-to-be stressing over minute details and the groom just showing up on the wedding day. While this may happen in some instances, many men are interested in their weddings and, in particular, their own personal appearance on what will be one of the happiest days of their life. Here are some hot trends for looking great on your wedding day from head to toe.

Wedding Hair

There is one hair style for men that seems to be really popping up on the red carpets this year and will surely make its way to the wedding aisle this fall. One hot men's hairstyle is a slightly toned down version of Robert Pattison's locks. (Don't worry you won't need a Twilight themed wedding to pull it off!) Simply ask your hairstylist for a short haircut with some light to moderate layering of the front pieces. You will look roguishly sexy on your wedding day without appearing unkempt.

Wedding Suit

Unless you and your bride-to-be are planning a theme wedding this fall, chances are you will be wearing a suit when you say "I do." There are several sophisticated styles to choose from, but the one sure to make you look your best is the Calvin Klein Modern Three-Button Tuxedo sold at Macy's. Also available at Macys.com, this suit will run you between $350.00 to $500.00, but you will be one sharp-dressed man at the altar.

The Tie

Your tie and related accessories, such as a pocket handkerchief and a boutonnière, are typically planned around the color scheme of the wedding. If you are going to be married in a sophisticated tuxedo, you do not want to throw off the "look" with a sub-par tie. The color of your tie may be out of your hands, but the quality of it is not. A skinny Calvin Klein tie will add a little bit of pizzazz and contemporary appeal to the formality of a well-structured wedding. A bonus is that the Calvin Klein Skinny tie comes in several different colors, including some easily incorporated neutrals.

The Shoes

A good pair of shoes is an essential part of your wedding day fashion statement. You want a pair of shoes that will not only mesh with your tuxedo but will also be comfortable enough for wearing at the after-party or reception. If you go with a dark suit, a black oxford will work well, and shiny is perfectly acceptable.

The Attitude

Perhaps the biggest trend in weddings this fall for both men and women will be an overall shift in attitude, and we all know that fashion is a reflection of attitudes of the day. Unless you have a trust fund or a stellar career lined-up, chances are your wedding plans are not as expansive as they would have been a year ago. If you choose merchandise similar to the items discussed in this article, your wedding will reflect that in a positive way. Your hard-earned money will not be squandered on a traditional tuxedo which will be worn minimally, if ever again. You will be wearing a suit that, while fancy and fashion-forward, would be appropriate for many formal functions. The tie and the shoes could be broken out for a number of occasions as well. Your wedding will demonstrate the fiscal responsibility that all young couples should be equipped with before joining their lives together.

Wedding trends reflect the times they are a part of, and this year many fall weddings will be about frugality and functionality.
