Storm
Storm is one of the most powerful women in the Marvel Universe and she has a story that would look great on film. While she showed up in the X-Men franchise, the incredible story of Storm's origin would play out beautifully in her own movie. Not only that, Storm has a fan base that could drive ticket sales through the roof. Storm certainly should be headlining a movie sometime soon.
The Black Widow
This saucy little number is one of the most interesting women in the Marvel Universe. This Russian born fighter for truth and justice dates back to World War II in the Marvel Universe and has a great origin story as well. This would be a great female Marvel character to lead a movie, and could be a great counterpart to the Avengers movie as well.
The Scarlet Witch
Growing up and reading the Avengers comic books, most every young boy under the age of ten fell in love with the Scarlet Witch. She is powerful, exciting and most of all - that red costume would look great on say...Selma Hayek? This would make a wonderful movie that could actually spin off in several directions. Her back-story is fascinating, and she makes a great Marvel female character to base a movie around.
Rogue
Most any kid that reads Marvel comics has been clamoring for someone to make a movie about Rogue and her relationship with Gambit, among other things. This is one female Marvel character that could easily carry the mantle in the theater, and draw plenty of people in to buy tickets. The storyline is one that could be adapted to drama, action and adventure - a formidable combination in any movie.
Mystique
Rogues mama sure is another great option for movie stardom, and could end up being the best of the batch. Mystique is a shape-shifter that can literally become any person that she touches. Because of her powers, the story options could literally go in a million directions and pull in any of the Marvel stars seamlessly. They really need to spend some time putting this one together.

Post a CommentThese were all great choices and from an interesting point of view I had not heard before presented , really great write!
Great article! I would LOVE to see "X-Men Origins: Storm" next. Her history in Cairo and as one of the earliest female members of the X-Men team is sensational. I didn't really like their take on her in the X-Trilogy, however; not enough of the poised, zen, earth-goddess Storm I've come to love.
Wonderful topic.
I couldn't agree more! I would love to watch a feature length movie about Storm. She is one of my favorite female comic book characters. I still want to be like her!
