Five Festive Christmas Carol Singing Spots in London

Christmas carol singing is a festive thing to do in December. It gets the community and the people in the spirit of Christmas. Many people love to celebrate Christmas by going carol singing. It is at that time now to go and enjoy a few carol songs in London. I love singing, so I regularly attend some of these Christmas carol singing spots each year. It makes Christmas more special, fruitful and festive.

Here are five spots in London to go Christmas carol singing this year.

Trafalgar Square - Christmas carol singing at Trafalgar Square is an annual celebration. It is a great spot for carol singing where many people go to join in celebrating the spirit of Christmas. Visit the square this December and get into the voice of carol singing. Anyone can join in. Many choirs have already set up their sessions for Christmas carol singing and visitors all around London usually turn up for the festive entertainment. Free carol concerts start from Tuesday the 7th of December to Wednesday the 22nd December 2010. There is also the beautiful Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square to enjoy, whilst singing along to Christmas carols. It is of great height, usually around 20 meters tall according to Wikipedia the Free Encyclopedia and it is sent over from Norway. It gives Trafalgar Square an enjoyable festive spirit.

St. Paul's Cathedral - Enjoyable services just for carol singing is to take place at St. Paul's Cathedral this year. On the 11th December 2010 there is a Christmas carol singing service with the music in Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten. This event is free for all to enjoy. The concert starts at 5 pm. On the 16th December 2010 at 6.30 pm there is a special service where songs will be sung by the Cathedral Choir at the Christmas Celebration special service where readings will take place by celebrities. Also, children are especially welcome at the family Christmas carol singing service on the 18th December 2010 at 1 pm. This service lasts 45 minutes and will be a festive and enjoyable sing-along for all little children. On Christmas Eve, there is, also, another service with the Cathedral Choir singing of Christmas carols to enjoy at 4pm. There is also a Midnight Eucharist service to enjoy with special Christmas carols to sing-along to.

The Royal Albert Hall - There is Christmas carol singing in the Royal Albert Hall London. A concert hosted by Jonathan Cohen for a fun sing-along of Christmas carols. It will take place on 12th, 16th, 18th, 20th and 21st December 2010. It is a sing-along music show where well known Christmas carols will be sung like Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Away in a Manger, Silent Night and songs, such as, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Winter Wonderland. An enjoyable, spirited and festive show for everyone to attend.

The Horniman Museum - Listen to a choir sing Christmas carols on the 12th December 2010 at 3 pm. This is free to attend. There are stalls that run from 3 pm selling all sorts of things and the carol singing starts at 5 - 6pm. A great afternoon out for the family.

Southwark Cathedral - There is Christmas carol singing for all in December at the Southwark Cathedral in London. You can especially enjoy Christmas carol singing on Christmas Day at the beautiful Southwark Cathedral. There are two services that day at 9am and 11 am. Christmas carol singing can be enjoyed throughout December 2010 as well.
