Summer time is upon us, and with the rising temperate comes an increased interest in being outdoors. While typical dates such as dinner and a movie are great, why not let the weather be the guide and find great ideas that consist of enjoying the sunshine as well as a no-cost budget? There are unlimited possibilities, but here are five ideas for free summer dates.

1. Wash Each Other's Cars:
Why pay money for a machine to wash your vehicle at the local gas station, when a couple can do it at home for free? Enjoy soaking up some vitamin D while getting lathered up in soap suds on this great date idea. It's perfect for those who don't want to fight for a spot on the beach, having all of the water fun disposable at your finger tips. With hoses and buckets easily available in hand, car washing dates make for a great reason to turn the cleaning process into a water fight which is sure to bring along a few smiles.

2. Go for a Hike:
Hikes are perfect for adventurers and adventures-at-heart. With just a water bottle and some sunscreen, a hike around a local hill or forested area can make for a great afternoon outdoors. Dogs will love to join in on this date idea as a couple can enjoy spending time together with no distractions and plenty of opportunity for conversation.

3. Plan a Picnic:
Picnics can be perfect when you want to reminisce on childhood memories and enjoy time outside equally. Why not make some PB&J's together at home, pack along a few snacks and water bottles and enjoy having a picnic outside together on a warm summer day. Not only does a picnic promise some quality time, but it also allows for some intimate time, as couples can easily cuddle on a blanket after a tasty lunch and enjoy the weather together. By choosing the grassy floor as your location of choice, there isn't a feeling of urgency from waiters to pay one's check, and likewise it offers a new and exciting dining opportunity outside of the usual meal at the table.

4. Go On A Garage Sale Date:
While the intention is to buy, why not go for a bike ride around a few blocks on a Saturday morning and find garage sales around the community? This is a great idea to look around and find interesting items homes are trying to sell. Try and make a game out of the garage sale hopping as well, competing to see who can find the most obscure random item for sale at each event.

5. Play a Sport Together:
With many opportunities, grab a frisbee, some tennis rackets, perhaps a basketball or even a soccer ball, and find a local park which offers space for each. It's perfect to bring out each other's competitive sides while getting some vitamin D.
