Lake Dillon is the largest lake in Summit County, Colorado and home to the Dillon Yacht Club, the highest elevation yacht club in North America. Lake Dillon is home to several racing regattas throughout the summer months which make it a wonderful spot to take in the mountain vistas while watching sailboats race across the deep blue waters of Lake Dillon.

Hike the Old Lake Dillon Trail

A wonderful family hike, the Old Lake Dillon trail is located between the towns of Dillon and Frisco just off Dillon Dam Road. With an elevation gain of only 150 feet and short distance of .75 miles round-trip, this well maintained trail is a perfect option for families hiking with young children. The top of the trail offers wonderful view of Lake Dillon, Gore Range and 10 mile range.

Catch the Free Summit Stage Bus to Surrounding Cities

Families can easily explore the surrounding cities of Breckenridge, Frisco, Keystone or Silverthorne courtesy of a free shuttle. The shuttles have several stops along the way making it a convenient option for catching free events in surrounding towns, tackling the ski slopes, or to watch fisherman working their magic in the many creeks located in the area.
