Five Games to Play when Having a Baby Shower

So you are planning a baby shower next week for you're friend. You have the theme for the party, but you don't know what kind of games to play. This is your first time you are planning a baby shower. Just thinking of the games gets you nervous. You want to entertain your guest and the new mother to be . You don't want to bore them, if you don't have any games. Well here are some games you might want to try at the party.

You write the name of each person who is going to play. Next grab 20 clothes-pins and one metal hanger. Clip all the clothes-pins to the metal hanger. Now what you are going to do is, go around each guest. Ask them to use only one hand to grab as many clothes-pins as they can. Only use one hand. This is what the game is about. When the guest hand is full, and not able to grab more, ask if they want to stop. If they do want to stop from grabbing more clothes-pins then write the number of clothes-pins they got. Now if the guest believes they could still be able to continue grabbing more clothes-pins, let them. But if they drop some while grabbing them they loose those clothes-pins and it is over for them. Keep going around each guest and repeat. The guest who has more higher number of clothes-pins wins.

Guess the soon to be mommy's weight. Each guest would write on a piece of paper the weight of the mom, including their name. Have one person be in charge of collecting the papers. Let the guest know that you collected the papers, and would not be able to receive anymore. Ask the mother to be to weight herself on a weight scale. Now if you don't have a weight scale at home, use the last weight the mom was giving at her last doctors appointment. When finish ask her to write her weight and give it to you. Then the person in charge, reviews all the papers to see who comes close to her weight or guess her weight. This person wins the game.

Measure the mommy's to be tummy. First you need plenty of toilet paper rolls. Go around to each guest and have them estimate how much paper it will take to go all the way around the new mommy's tummy. Have the new mommy come around with you so the guest could see her tummy and estimate. When each guess is done, let them tear off that much toilet paper they believe they need. When you are finish, have each guest come up and wrap the toilet paper around her tummy. Whichever guest comes close wins.

Guess the baby food flavor. You need 15 baby jars without the labels. This baby jars have to be colorful. Be creative and pick two of the same color or different color. Make the game hard for them. Give each guest their own pencil and paper. Have guest view the jars with out touching them. Put the jars on the top of a table, so the guest could view them. Ask the guest to write the flavors of each jar they believed they are. Then collect all pieces of paper, and count how many they got right. The guest who guess the most jars wins.

Guess what is inside the baby bag. Have a baby bag prepare by you. Put a lot of stuff inside the bag like, diapers, wipes, lotion, shampoo, toys, baby powder, bottle, baby formula, spoon, napkin, baby bib, and the list goes on. Be creative and add more difficult stuff a new mother to be would use. Try to add personal stuff like wallet, small purse , cell phone, small book. Have each guest write what they could find on the baby bag. Whoever writes the most correct items wins.
