Google Mail Checker
There are quite a few neat little apps that link together with Gmail and other mail-sites, and even a few that connect to Facebook. The one I've found that works best is the simplicity of the Google Mail Checker. All it does is sit in the upper right hand corner of your browser and displays a small number that informs you of the amount of unread mail in your inbox. If you click on the icon it will open up a new tab and take you straight to gmail. It's quick, handy and not overly complex.
FastestChrome
Fastest Chrome is an app that is designed to just help you browse faster, loading the next page of a series so you can just scroll down straight to it. It does a few other things that clean up the experience all around increasing the ease of navigation and speeding up your browsing considerably.
Feedly
Feedly is an excellent resource and accessing it via Chrome is beyond convenient. "Feeding" all manner of different blogs, site updates, you-tube channels and even deviant art users into one convenient page, organizable via different tags with an easy to use interface. Everything connected through the browser is brought up by logging into your feedly account (you have one as long as you have a gmail account) and just clicking on the icon to take you straight to the page.
Chrowety
Hands down my favorite twitter client app in chrome. Chrowety is useful, handy and has a neat dropdown menu that allows you to post, reply and anything you could do on the site itself. It was one of the first apps that I found and really fell in love with. Chrowety has clean performance and a delicate interface.
Cooliris
Cooliris is, in a few words, insanely cool. I love it. You can search through videos, images all on this gorgeous wall. The cooliris icon just takes you straight to the site, opening it up in a different tab. Cooliris is worth having if you need access to photos or just like looking through, it connects to flicker, google images and a host of other sources including newspaper articles.
