Five Great Father's Day Gift Ideas for Guys Who Love Beer

Nicole Feliciano
Father's Day is Sunday June 17th. Have you done your shopping? Don't fret if you are behind, I've come up with five no-fail Father's Day gift ideas. Since most men love beer, that's a great place to start your shopping. I know, I know it's a stereotype, but it sure does make gift buying a lot simpler. With prices ranging from students on a budget to budget busting, there should be something that fits the bill.

Guinness has been in the beer business since 1759. It stands to figure that they are a very recognizable brand. I love the new set of four pub glasses with vintage Guinness slogan "My Goodness My Guinness." Now dad won't have mismatched glasses when his buddies come over to watch the Master's Tournament or NASCAR. These glasses hold 16 oz (perfect) and are dishwasher safe. ($19.99)

If you want to spend a little more, check out the micro brewed beer of the month club. Members receive twelve, 12-oz bottles of beer each month. The offerings all come from handcrafted microbreweries. A monthly newsletter, Brew Harvest Review, informs the recipient of about the breweries and the featured beers. Memberships start at $17.95 per month (plus shipping and handling).

Is dad a beer snob? If he's picky about his brews, he's probably equally discerning about his barware. For dandy sippers, Tiffany's Atlas beer mug is an elegant and timeless gift. With the bold Roman-numeral design, I imagine just about any beer tastes better served out of this crystal 16-ounce mug. ($40)

Keeping things elegant, there's also the Oscar de la Renta abalone bar set. This glamorous two-piece bar set will look great displayed on the counter. From Saks.com, this set includes corkscrew and bottle opener. Both are crafted of stainless steel with abalone inlay. ($95)

And then there's the ultimate gift: the U-line Origin Series beverage center. Dad can stack his favorite brews high in his very own beverage center. No longer will he have to search for his brews behind the cauliflower and ketchup (and mom will appreciate getting her kitchen clutter free). This appliance is perfect for a den or other entertaining area in your home. Maple-trimmed with a glass door, this item is attractive and useful. It has up to six cubic feet of storage capacity. Sure it's a splurge, but remember the man did put you through college. Have your always broke little brother chip in for the first supply of beer. ($1138)
