Two: A fold up table that allows the lap top to be placed in an ergonomically correct position for typing is a fantastic gift idea for the person who likes to use their computer on their lap, in a recliner, or while sitting on the bed. The tables are adjustable and create a nice work space that steadies the computer and prevents it from slipping off of the bed, or persons' lap while in use. You can get wood or metal. These tables are great because they fold up tightly for storage.
Three: Many people who own laptops do not own the printers that can so easily go with them. This year, why not purchase a printer/fax/scanner that you know is compatible with the make and model of their portable computer. The ease and convenience it brings to the recipient may well be a very welcome gift. Check with the manufacturer to make sure all hookups (such as USB cables) are included in the device, and if not pick those up to go along with the gift as well. They usually are included, but sometimes may not be, so checking is always best. Receiving a device without the appropriate hook-ups to use it properly is akin to receiving a really cool toy for Christmas, as a child, but realizing all too soon that it doesn't have the appropriate batteries.
Four: An accessory kit for a lap top can bring all of the staples of a standard computer, to the user of the lap top. These kits can include a mouse designed for the lap top, a mouse pad, and a printer. If you know the recipient of the computer is receiving a video camera or digital camera (or if you are purchasing one for the person) and needs a firewire or a memory card, pick one of those up as well. A portable USB stick is also a great gift accessory for the lap top owner to own.
Five: A stacked cushion designed specifically for the lap top is a great gift idea for the lap top user who likes to lounge in bed and surf the Internet or do their work (or school, homework). These are designed to bring the computer up to the perfect level for typing, so the person using them does not strain their muscles or hurt their back and/or eyes by leaning over too far, or not far enough when typing.
With laptops being so convenient and so beloved by their owners, finding the perfect accessory for them can be a very well appreciated gift idea this holiday season.
