Many people with pets want to make their pets' lives great and comfortable. Fortunately, there are many ways you can pamper your pet without spending a lot of money. Try these suggestions for pampering your pet on the cheap.

Pet Bed: If you have a dog or a cat, you probably already know that they spend a majority of their time sleeping. Thus, one way you can pamper your pet is to give him or her a pet bed. While some beds certainly can be expensive, not all of them are. In fact, you can find plenty of great, comfortable pet beds for reasonable prices.

For instance, the Purina Comfy Cube Pet Bed is a microfiber bed with recycled plastic bottles for stuffing. It is only about $15 from Wal-Mart retails stores or the Wal-Mart website. The Purina Comfy Cube Pet Bed is perfect for medium-sized dogs and it's also eco-friendly! If you have a cat, you could get him or her a Whisker City Fleece Kitty Den for approximately $15 at PetSmart retail stores or on the store's website. The bed contains a reversible, removable pillow with one side being fleece and the other being faux fur.

Homemade Treats: If your pet loves treats, you can pamper your cat or dog by making him or her some homemade treats. If your dog likes peanut butter, you may want to pamper your pet by making him or her some Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits. Ingredients you'll need for this recipe include: ½ cup of peanut butter, 3 cups of oat flour, one large egg, and two tablespoons of olive oil. You will also need enough water to moisten the mixture. First, combine and mix all of the ingredients, adding enough water to moisten the mixture. After you've mixed all of the ingredients well, make a large ball out of the mixture. Next, roll out into a pancake like form with a ¼ inch thickness. Cut out whatever shapes you like and place onto cookie sheets. Bake in your oven at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until the treats are browned. Once the biscuits are finished, turn off your oven, but leave the treats to cool completely inside your oven before taking them out. These treats may remain out or be stored in your freezer. This recipe should be a cheap way to pamper your dog as many individuals already have most of the ingredients needed for this recipe at home.

You can also make cheap, easy homemade cat treats for your feline. For homemade tuna treats, you will need: 2/3 cups oil, one 8 ounce can of tuna in oil, two cups of flour, ¾ cups water, and two cups of cornmeal. First, grease a cookie sheet and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Next, mix all of the ingredients until they are just combined. Roll out dough on a floured surface into a flat form with a ¼ inch thickness and cute into small squares. Put the square onto the cookie sheet and bake 25-30 minutes.

Love: Love is something you can give your pet for free. There are several things you can do to show your cat or dog you love him or her. Spend some time petting your cat or dog. Give your pet hugs. Spend time playing with your dog or cat regularly. Take your dog for regular walks. Curl up and take a nap with your cat. Let your pet sleep on your bed. There are plenty of ways to show your pet you love him or her and giving him or her extra love and care is one great way you can pamper your pet.

Play: Play sessions are another great way to pamper your cat or dog. One game my cats absolutely love to play is chasing the laser pointer! Laser pointers are cheap and provide hours of fun for your feline. You can get laser pointers many places, including PetSmart, PetCo, Wal-Mart, and Target. These squeaky bones come in small, medium, and large, so there's one appropriate for dogs of every size.

Brushing: Many pets also love being brushed, so another good way to pamper your pet is to groom him or her. If you have a dog, try the Pet Select Soft Touch Slicker Wire Brush. The firm bristles will help remove tangles and mats from your dog's coat, which will make him or her feel better. You may purchase this brush at Wal-Mart for approximately $6.

Cats also love to be brushed and groomed. If you have a cat, try the Pet Hair Eliminator, which will get any loose hair off of your kitty. It also gets hair off of surfaces in your home, such as furniture and carpet. The Pet Hair Eliminator is available at PetSmart for approximately $11.
