So it's that time of the year again, and you're feeling festive. The only problem is you've already covered your entire house in red and green ornaments and your Christmas tree doesn't at all resemble an actual tree, but instead a fake snow and tinsel covered triangle. So what do you do to get out the rest of that Christmas spirit? Easy, it's time to start decorating cars for Christmas!

Not too many people do this, but it seems so obvious. The looks and smiles you get when driving around feels great, a lot of people find it even more fun than decorating there house, and it's no surprise. Anyone can string lights around the trim of there roof, but how many people turn there car into Rudolf? It's also really easy and there's no worry of damaging your vehicle as long as you think before you act.

So where to start? There are a ton of options and ideas, but here are a few of my personal favorites:

First, let's look into something simple. You can purchase a few ornaments to decorating cars for Christmas, but make sure not to put them anywhere that will obstruct your view while driving. Your rear view mirror is the perfect spot for your favorite Christmas decorations. You can even look online and find a few places that sell Christmas decorations for cars. Just look for some items that put a smile on your face and it'll look perfect.

Secondly, you can do the simple method of buying some antlers that hook onto your window, and a red fluffy ball that goes on your hood. This is a quick 3 step process that instantly transforms your car with Christmas decorations and looks great.

Another great method for decorating cars for Christmas is a little more advanced and requires a little car knowledge. Some people enjoy actually stringing lights on the outside of there car, you just have to hang them a little low as to not cause disturbance to passing traffic, and know how to hook it up to your battery. This can be done by simply connecting the positive and negative wires to each terminal on your battery (Wrapping the exposed wire around the terminals works fine) but please make sure to be careful when doing it! This is an amazing way of decorating cars for Christmas that always turns heads.

Yet another great trick is to decorate cars for Christmas is to buy some car paint (the stuff car lots use to write prices on windows) and use it to draw all over your car. This brings a lot of fun, everyone in your family can help and it will look great! You can draw Christmas trees, reindeer, Santa, the possibilities for Christmas decorations are limited only to your imagination when you do this.

Finally, is a form of Christmas decorations for car that goes a bit extreme, taught to me by my grandma as she did it every single year. Simply grab as many Christmas items as you can and a little tick-tack and stick them all over your dashboard! Just be careful not to overdo it or it will become an eyesore. Personally I like to place two or three on my dashboard as it brings a little life to the inside of your vehicle for the festive holidays.

There are a ton of options beyond this, be creative, be unique, and remember to always aim for putting a smile on every face when you're done, including your own!
