Five Greatest Movie Villains Ever

This may be a near impossible task. I am however, drawn to the challenge of narrowing down the incredible list of potentials to a mere five. Some may believe this task to be impossible, while others I'm sure feel as though there can be absolutely no debate.

Whatever you believe in consideration of the vast library of films produced throughout the ages, this is my attempt to determine who ranks up there as tops in world of evil screen villains. There are others to be sure, but there is no question these are some very bad people who your mother would not pleased about you bringing home for dinner.

In no particular order, the greatest movie villains of all time are:

Ramses. I know there is probably an entire generation of people out there reading this who just asked the question Ramses who? This is a bad dude. Making his film debut in the epic tale The Ten Commandments, Ramses was the sinister king of Egypt during what turns out to be an incredibly historic time. Ramses however is not much of a people person and chooses to enslave an entire race of individuals. After several requests to not be such a bad person, he orders the killing of the first born child of an entire group of people. He makes a lot of people very angry including the big man upstairs. If you manage to enrage the boss of all bosses, you got to be pretty evil. For that, he makes the list.

Darth Vader. It should be quite clear who this is. He apparently started out as a pretty smart kid who would have made a great auto mechanic. Instead a stranger came into his life, offered him and adventure and his mother without knowing much about this strange man, let go off with him into the universe. Probably not the greatest parenting model available. In any event, as a young kid he turns out to be incredibly talented, he grows into a young adult who turns on all his friends and goes so far as to kill a group of school children in order to impress a new friend. He receives devastating injuries and becomes a kind of bionic man but despite the future technology all around him, he is forced to wear a garbage can on his head. For all his evil deeds and the fact that he is known and feared by children of all generations, he makes the list.

Wicked Witch of the West. This is perhaps the most classic selection on the list. She makes up part of a remarkable ensemble cast for what turned out to very possibly become the most popular movie of all time. Where some families suffer from various hereditary conditions, she seems to always have to worry about a house falling on her and must contend with an horrendous allergy to water. She fancies herself some kind of queen, living in a big dark castle and apparently doesn't have anything better to do than to torment a young girl and her friends who are apparently nothing more than a group of stuffed toys. For being a bitch of witch and constantly threatening the life of a little girl and her dog too, this nasty lady makes the list.

Keyser Sose. Who is Keyser Sose? Nobody seems to know for sure except that he appeared in one of the best crime dramas ever. This guy takes the cake in sheer body count alone. If you cross him, he'll kill ya. If you do business with him, he'll kill ya. If you know who he is, how he smells, what he looks, sounds or walks like, he'll kill ya. Just to make a point he demonstrated to a rival drug gang how serious a player he was by killing his own wife and children in front of them. Then he went on to kill all of them, their families, their pets, their neighbours and everyone who lived in the same state as them. Amazingly, he still found people to sell his drugs to. For that sheer determination and unique ability to communicate with others, Keyser makes the list.

Jason. You know who I am talking about. Yes that Jason. He is a unique choice for this list since he comes from the horror genre and for the most part, most characters in those films are more humorous than sinister. However, he is the franchise when it comes to Friday the 13th and he is probably the first of his kind. I do find him more entertaining than villainous but it just felt the list wouldn't be quite complete without at least one monster. He like the others seems to have a thing for offing young people and isn't much of a communicator. He seems to wipe people out for the sheer sport and can do it most of the time without breaking a sweat. In appreciation of his work ethic and non-discriminatory ways, he makes the list.

Think you can do better? I look forward to reading your selections. Enjoy.
