Five Guys Burgers and Fries: A Quick Burger with a Scrumptious Bite
A Great Burger Place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Lancaster, PA 17603
United States of America
Five Guys opened in our fair town of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, just a few short months ago, and already has revolutionized the way this area looks at the fast food burger. I cannot quote numbers, but I can speak from experience and say that Five Guys offers the absolute best burgers and fries, without the fluffy price tag.
The two locations in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Lincoln Highway East and Fruitville Pike, offer an excellent freshly made burger with no preservatives. Not only is it a great burger, but the only topping you have to pay for is the cheese! Whether you prefer hot sauce, pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, fried onions, sauteed mushrooms, or whatever your tastebuds are craving, all the toppings are free. All burgers are cooked well done, but are never dry. They're moist and juicy: exactly how an gourmet burger should be, but without the gourmet price tag or glam.
Next up, an order of fries. You have a choice of the original fries, or the cajun spiced. I, personally, have only ever enjoyed the original fries, although, next time I will definitely be ordering up some cajun style goodness. The fries are cooked in peanut oil and are cholesterol free. Whether you order the regular or large, you always get some extra. In fact, on this last trip, I saw exactly how their fry idea worked. With every order, they pour an extra scoop of fries directly into your bag for you to enjoy! Whether this is just a local tradition, or a franchise standard, it's delicious idea. I know I have always loved finding those extra few fries, which didn't make it into the container, on the bottom of the bag. Now, you're guaranteed to not just find a few, but almost an entire extra batch! Talk about tapping into America's temptation to be gluttons.
Five Guys has already built a stellar reputation around this area for excellent service, prices, and the best burgers and fries in town. In fact, I'd prefer to eat at this red and white styled franchise any day over a regular sit down restaurant. Five Guys is an experience all its own: Fresh burgers, beautifully crisp fries, clean restaurants, peanuts for all to snack on, and a fun, let loose atmosphere.
It is no wonder that when Janie and Jerry Murrell and their five sons (or Five Guys) opened the restaurant in 1986, it became a success. Growing from just five locations in 2002, to over 200 restaurants currently, the restaurant has become the new McDonald's, minus the fluff and the drive thru. According to the Five Guys website, and Wikipedia.org, Five Guys has received numerous awards congratulating the business for their commitment to a great burger. And now, I applaud you along with the thousands of other fans across the country.
Five Guys is quickly storming in as the gentle giant of the great burger joints of America. Those who are sick of bad customer service, filthy restaurants, and below par food, are now embracing the new face of burgers. If you get the opportunity, make a stop next time you're in town to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Order up a cheeseburger with all the toppings you desire, a regular fry, and don't forget a cold Coke to top off the experience. While you're waiting, snack on some peanuts, enjoy the efficiency of a great run Burger machine, and don't forget to leave a note on the corkboard at the door. I can guarantee you that you'll be back, and you'll drive right past McDonald's to get there!
