Five Hip 2009 New Year's Eve Parties in San Diego

In Search of the Ultimate New Year's Eve Par-tay!

San Diego is one of the best vacation spots in California or anywhere. It's hip, clean, beautiful and full of surprises. Make this New Year's Eve Celebration a mini vacation complete with spa and turn down services. Any one of the following venues could be a great kick off. Here are the results of my extensive search. First I called my travel agent, Sara Leonard, at Off We Go Travel; she recommended the first two hotels: The W and The Hard Rock. These were fantastic suggestions and after looking at their websites I knew making a single decision was going to be tough for anyone.

NYE at the W in San Diego, Where Decadence is Always in Fashion

For a truly chic event that is part of the San Diego scene nothing beats New Years Eve at the W. Rates for an overnight stay for two, with bottle of champagne, and access to the NYE party start at 349.00. This party will be rocking with DJ's on all three levels of the hotel including, The Beach, a rooftop bar that boasts a tropical motif with heated sand, fire pits and private cabanas. You know, I can't help thinking about being barefoot on a rooftop with my toes sifting through the heated sand getting that sweet 12:00 am kiss.

Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego Presents its '2009 Black and White Masquerade Ball'.

Need we say more? This famous hotel, centrally located in the gas lamp district, features fine dining and world class events. I suggest you try Nobu Restaurant and experience artistic Japanese cuisine created by a true Master; Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. This New Year's Eve package starts at 495.00 for two and includes overnight stay and 2 tickets to the ball. Hotel guests will enjoy appetizers and hosted bar from 8 to 10 pm inclusive of the package.

I then surfed the web and found that my favorite DJ's Scooter and LaVelle were going to be mixing it up in San Diego at the Marriot; I would love to see this show. So many scenes and so little time; what's a girl to do?

San Diego Marriot Hotel and Marina Presents, The Venue

Hip hop DJ's Scooter and LaVelle will make this a memorable evening. I could definitely be a groupie for these two talented hotties. Follow the link to their website for a sample of their wares and enjoy. The hotel has views of both the city lights and the bay and provides excellent accommodations. You can get the New Years Eve Ball 2009 VIP Room Package for 2 which includes a bay view room, 2 VIP wristbands for the events, free CD's, complimentary champagne in your room, and VIP access to the next day's Soiree at the Pool event.

I found this next party popping up on search engines all over the web.

Big Night San Diego at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina

Nothing says fun like those wonderful words, 'all-inclusive'. For just 109.99 you get all the food and drink you can handle within the confines of 16 themed party areas which include among others: A Vegas casino lounge with mock casino, and retro, electronica and hip-hop ballrooms. And if that isn't enough there's a huge midnight celebration with fireworks and some of the best views in all of San Diego. Hotel rooms start at 179.00

Last and certainly not least; what could be better than spending NYE on a yacht in San Diego? Millennium Events has out done themselves as this event seems just dazzling.

New Year's Eve 2009 Yacht Party by Millennium Events

If the boat is a rockin' don't bother knockin' ... come on in! This will be a great event for 1000 lucky people who purchase their tickets in time. With inclusive beer, wine and well drinks, Champagne at boarding, passed appetizers, chocolate fountains, 3 levels of music and entertainment and the very best view of the 2009 NYE fireworks and San Diego skyline that wouldn't be attracted to this event. Everyone gets a party hat and a noise maker and an option to have their inebriated selves hand delivered to a great hotel with their exclusive hotel deal of just 119.00 per night. Tickets to this event are 169.00 each.

I'm still not sure which of these great events to decide on, but I am sure whichever event I choose to it's going to be great fun ringing in the new year.
