Are you looking for an event that is a little different this holiday season in New York City? Look no further. Here is a list of alternative events that will have you in the holiday spirit in no time.

The 6th Annual Holiday Lights at the Bronx Zoo is located at Fordham Road and Bronx River Parkway. This special event features 140 lit animal sculptures which are 90 percent animated as well as miles of architectural lighting. Included in this holiday of light is special night time feedings of sea lions, reindeer and camels.The Bronx Zoo is open on Mon-Fri 10am-5pm and Sat-Sun 10am-5:30pm, cost of the 6th Annual Holiday of Lights is Adults $9, Kids 2-12, Seniors 65+ $5, and children under age 2 are free. Do not miss this spectacular array of beautifully set holiday lights.

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular located at 6th Avenue between 50th street and 51st street. This special event features the world famous Rockettes that everyone in the United States should see at least one time in their life time. This year will be extra special being that it is The Radio City Christmas Spectacular's 75th year of bringing holiday spirit to thousands of people each year. The show runs from November 9th - December 30th so there is plenty of time for you to catch a show. Tickets to this wonderful event is between $40.00 - $250.00, depending on time and seating. Pick up your phone now and reserve your seats to this once in a lifetime holiday show.

George Balanchine's The Nutcracker located at the New York City Ballet will be opening on November 23rd - December 30th, 2007. This Classic take of Little Marie at a Christmas party full of marching soldiers and cute little adorable mice is surely to get the whole family in the holiday spirit. With fantastic music by Tschaikovsky, an amazing on stage snow storm and tons of gorgeous ballet dancers, and a one ton Christmas tree, this is one show you do not want to miss this 2007 holiday season. Tickets for this event are between $50.00 - $250.00 depending on time as well as seating. Once again if your looking for a classic holiday event, get your tickers to George Balanchine's The Nutcracker.

The Pond at Bryant Park Grand Opening, October 28th-29th has free performances by the Smucker's Stars on Ice, the Altar Boyz and the fabulous, premier synchronized skating team known as the Haydenettes. As stated this event is absolutely free and the first 300 people to arrive will receive free skate rentals. Time for this event is 12:30 pm. Do not miss this spectacular ice filled holiday treat for you and your whole family.

And to make it even better, we have The ever so hilarious New York Comedy Festival which will be from November 6th-November 11th. With gigs like Rosie O'Donnel, Dennis Leary, Damon Wayans, Bill Maher and many other hilarious comedians, this is a holiday gag event you do not want to pass up.
