Five Hot New Nail Polish Colors for Spring

Jenna de Salea
Even though it still seems like winter, spring will be here before you know it. Trends for the spring include a huge splash of baby blue, classic pinks, and some new hues we haven't seen before. Below is a list of the five hottest nail polishes for the Spring.

1. OPI - Done Out in Deco
Pastels are typically the hallmark of Spring, but they can look a bit chalky and thick. OPI's classic South Beach Collection has "Done Out in Deco" a soft, light lavender color that goes on light and almost sheer. It wears well, and is a great alternative to neutrals.

2. Essie- Silken Cord
This color is a bit of a 'pop' but right in between the reds of Winter and the corals of Summer. If you like a bolder color, this is one to try. It's the simple one note Essie color, so what you see will be what you get.

3. CHANEL - Azur
The bright pastel blue from CHANEL has been around for a while now, but with baby blue being a big trend for this spring, it's about to make a comeback. This nail polish is definitely a "splurge" piece, but totally worth it because there isn't a more beautiful pastel polish out there. They've just launched "Riva" which is a take on Azur with a more pearlized finish.

4. L'Oreal Pro Manicure - I Pink I'm in Love
L'Oreal has the best drug store nail poilsh, hands down. So if you're a classics kind of gal, on a budget, you can find the best neutral shell pink with "I Pink I'm in Love." Perfectly sheer and long-wearing it's great on it's own or as a base for a French manicure.

5. China Glaze - Emerald Fitzgerald
If you're a risk taker and love a rich, bold color, China Glaze's Vintage Vixen collection gives us a bold, rich green for Spring with "Emerald Fitzgerald." Known for their multi-tonal color, this green is anything but boring, and definitely not neutral, but it works well because the formula is so beautiful it's almost like wearing art.

No matter what your style, this list should give you something new to try once Spring is here. After a winter of rich, deep colors, it's time to lighten up a bit and have a change!
