There are still several objectives that you're going to need to complete while in high school though, if you plan on getting anywhere else in life. These are quite easy and can be accomplished in much less than four years, but they're still crucial to your success.
1. - Get a part time Job! I know it sounds horrible, and no one really likes doing it, but you'll need to get a part time job while in high school if you're interested in staying successful. I personally hated everyone constantly nagging on me while in high school to get a job, my license, a car, and get moving with my life. It gets annoying! The purpose of this article is to only explain why it's so important to do these things. A job will teach you time management, make you some cash, help you support yourself, and get you much more ready to enter the job market after graduating from high school or college even.
2. - Get Your Driver's License! I'm sure you've been nagged on about this before too, if you didn't want to get it right away because you would immediately be forced to get a job afterwards. However, you'll see that after getting your license, your freedom greatly arises! You will be able to go out when you want, see who you want, and you won't be required to answer to your parents every time you need a ride somewhere! Plus, where are you going to go in life without a driver's license?!
3. - Go out on some dates! The best way to become socially popular and develop your social skills is to put yourself into situations where it'll be required of you to use them. If you go out on a date, you'll meet people and be required to use your social skills.
4. - Travel With your family! This may sound like it's not important, but it is! After you go off to college and start hanging out with new friends, you're going to rarely have a chance to see your family. Create those family memories while you still have the chance!
5. - Learn a second language! This isn't extremely important, but it may help you in the work force. Some employers will offer higher pay to people who are bilingual. Knowing two languages can really open up your world. Language classes in high school are a great way to enter yourself into that world. I personally never took any language classes in school because my only option was Spanish, which I hated at the time.
These are just a few of the goals you should accomplish while in high school. You should also do your best! Maintain your GPA, do the best on your ACT's, find out what college you want to go to, and mostly, just plan ahead and stay focused!
