Five Less Than Ideal Features of the Great Kyocera Echo Smartphone

The Worst Features of the Kyocera Echo

With its dual screens, advanced hardware, and other awesome features, the Kyocera Echo might seem like a great buy, but it's far from perfect and following are a few lacking features of this otherwise great smartphone.

Display Quality

The touchscreen display of virtually any smartphone is one of its most important features and is likely where most of the "magic" will occur. Seeing how the Kyocera Echo's biggest selling point is its dual screens, the display of the Kyocera Echo is of utmost importance, but unfortunately, it's dual screens come off as being a bit dull (not as vibrant as most modern smartphones) and not that responsive.

It's Not Built to Last

With a smartphone that's basically comprised of two touchscreen displays, durability will likely be one of the main concerns of this smartphone. With glass on both sides, the Kyocera Echo isn't built to last and with lacking accessories to remedy this issue, it's likely that a cracked screen (or two) will be in the future for far too many Kyocera Echo owners.

It'll Take Some Getting Used To

Having dual screens is a nifty trick that the Kyocera Echo can pull off, but adjusting to this smartphone's setup will present problems all of its own. Their aren't lots of apps available that take advantage of the Kyocera Echo's multiple screen and adjusting to the different screen modes for the apps that are compatible will involve a learning curve that could create headaches for Kyocera Echo enthusiasts.

Battery Life

As you could probably imagine, battery consumption would likely be a major concern for a smartphone that boast dual touchscreens. The Kyocera Echo advertises a max talk time of up to 6 hours before a battery recharge is needed, but with the many apps and power consumption of both displays running at the same time, Kyocera Echo owners have claimed that the promised 6 hours of the Kyocera Echo is a rarity.

No 4G

Most modern smartphones boast both 3G and 4G networking speeds, but not the Kyocera Echo. While it's an otherwise advanced smartphone, the lack of 4G networking speeds makes the Kyocera Echo seem like a smartphone released in 2010, not 2011, and it's lack of 4G is a disappointment for this popular smartphone.
