Five Mac Apps that Will Help You Through Final Exams

Ashli Norton
It seems as if the school year has just started and it's already time for finals. What are you going to do to get through your finals, the only thing you can do, study like crazy! The wonderful thing is that you have a Mac and this is the only thing (besides your expensive textbooks and these apps) that you will need to get through your tests. So let's start class!

Cram - This app can be a lifesaver for the most prepared student to the last minute Crammer (pun fully intended). Cram helps students study test material in any class - from Spanish to that difficult Chemistry course you must take, even though it has nothing to do with your major. Cram helps you to study with flashcards and multiple-choice tests. You can drag images and sounds into your tests, randomize the test questions to prevent memorization, and track your progress with each test attempt. Just pop your teachers huge study guide into Cram, use the flash cards to practice the material, and use your final study sessions to prepare in Cram's testing mode.

BeeDocs Timeline 3D - Got some dates to remember? Great there's an app for that. Ok, I totally ripped off the popular Apple commercials, but BeeDocs is the app for the job when trying to remember those oh-so-essential dates on final exam day. BeeDocs Timeline looks so nice and allows you to present the details in your timelines as well as the surrounding historical events as context. Just pop in your dates to remember and look

Pear Note - Do you remember every single thing your Professor said about Spanish past and present tenses this semester? I didn't think so, but if you had Pear Note you probably would. Pear Note is an app that helps you take notes on your Mac, but it's not just any note-taking app, it's THE note-taking app for your Mac. Pear Note does exactly what you need it to do - listen when you can't. While you are typing your notes Pear Note is recording everything you do and what the teacher is saying. So when you are back in the dorm swearing to change your major next semester use Pear Note to help you remember all the facts that you probably won't remember after the finals.

Schoolhouse - So you have all of these different apps that you can use to help you study, but you have such a busy life and it's hard to keep track of what to study, when. So what is a student to do? Well that is where Schoolhouse comes in. Schoolhouse is the hub for a student's life. Schoolhouse boasts the power to keep track of your grades in each class, keep track of your tasks including all of your tests, and can even track the many websites where you teacher posted the syllabus. Schoolhouse is perfect for calculating the EXACT score you will need on your final exams to pass your class this semester.

Sente - Not lucky enough to have a test that consist of multiple-choice questions. That's where Sente comes in. Need to write a research paper, make sure you have you include your bibliography. With Sente, you can find, organize, and review your the resources and save your resources as PDFs. With Sente you can rid those notecards full of references in sloppy writing with coffee stains on them.

With all of these Mac apps all you have to do now is remember your number two pencil! Happy Final Exams.
