Five Major Ways the New Toshiba AT200 Tablet Has the iPad 2 Beat

How the AT200 Tablet is Better Than the iPad 2

Millionaire Hoy

The Apple iPad 2 has reigned supreme as the top tablet for a while and while there are lots of great contenders out there, the new Toshiba AT200 just might be the best one yet. Following are several ways the Toshiba AT200 has the iPad 2 beat.

Larger Display Size

When it comes to finding the right fit for a tablet's display size, it can be a tough choice seeing how it can't be too small or too large - and the Toshiba AT200 tablet has found the perfect balance with its vibrant and large 10.1 inch display. While the iPad 2 also sports a large display, it's 9.7 inch display isn't as ideal as the Toshiba AT200's for reading eBooks, watching movies, using apps, playing games, and browsing the web.

Superior Hardware

Not only does the Toshiba AT200 tablet boast a larger display than the record selling iPad 2, it also has a lot more going for it under the hood. The iPad 2 has pretty decent hardware specs and features 1 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 1.3 Megapixel camera and up to 64GB of storage space, but the iPad 2's specs pale in comparison to the advanced hardware of the Toshiba AT200, which features a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 5 Megapixel camera.

Ideal Camera Quality

One of the best selling points of the iPad 2, and unfortunately one of its most complained about features, is its rear and front-facing cameras. While having a front and rear-facing camera is additional feature that wasn't featured on the original iPad, the paltry 1.3 Megapixel rear facing camera and VGA quality front facing camera of the iPad 2 aren't that much to "ride home" about. Fortunately, the Toshiba AT200 features an advanced 5 Megapixel rear-facing and 2 Megapixel front-facing camera.

Design and Form Factor

The iPad 2 features a new design that wasn't available on its predecessor and while it's a bit thinner and more lightweight, the new design of the iPad 2 has been met with mixed acceptance due to its curved bezel that makes connect its charging cable and headphones difficult, amongst making it more difficult to press the other tactile controls. The Toshiba AT200 was designed to perfection, fits into a 7.7mm frame, weighs a measly 558g, and sports a brushed metal design which is sure to turn heads.

It's More Open Ended

One of the best features of the iPad 2 is that most of its features are exclusive, but this is also one of its major downfalls and because of its exclusivity, it doesn't support direct HDMI output, SD card support, and Adobe Flash support like the new Toshiba AT200 tablet.
