Here are five money saving uses for bath and body items:
Body scrub: Use it for other parts of your body such as your arms, legs, feet, and face, almost anywhere you want a healthy glow (unless, of course, you have sensitive skin). It will remove dead skin cells just as well as body or face scrub. A scrub is a scrub.
Body mist: Leave those fabric sprays on the grocery store shelf. After squirting that lovely scent of bath and body spray on yourself, try misting your curtains, draperies, furniture, and carpeting, anywhere you want to freshen up your house a bit.
Why spend extra money on those fancy wardrobe sachets when you can take a small cloth or roll up a sock and saturate it with body mist. Then, hang in your closet next to your favorite blouses or stick it in your panty drawer for fresh-smelling undies all year long.
Shower Wash/Gel: Unless you'd rather spend big money on special shampoo, shower wash products have almost the same ingredients that most shampoos sans alcohol, which tends to dry your hair and scalp. So next time you are in the shower, try soaping up your head and body with your newest bath and body gel. You may find you don't need all those extra hair supplies your beautician suggested at your last visit to the salon.
Body Lotion: When you are tempted to pick up a tube of hand or foot lotion at the drug store, think twice. Why waste your money on singular products when you have all those lovely bath and body lotions or oils at home just waiting for you to apply them anywhere on your body.
Re-Gifting: For those bath and body products you haven't opened yet, wrap them in a pretty basket or a festive gift bag. Add a new card and you've just taken care of that 'hard to buy for' person in your life.
Try these money saving tips and not only have you saved yourself a few bucks, you've used your bath and body products so efficiently, you'll actually look forward to receiving more of these gift sets on the next holiday season.

Thanks for the comments, gals!
Great advice! I've never tried body wash as a shampoo, so will have to give it a shot.
Yep, I'm one of those who has a bunch of these products tucked in my closet until I can give them to other people as gifts. (And yes, other people gave them to me as gifts.) Trouble is, when the time comes to give them away, I forget that they're in my closet. But now you've got me! I'm going to dig in there and find them, and take advantage of some of your suggestions. Just wish I had thought of them myself. For one thing, I for sure plan to use them as scrubs on my knees, elbows and feet! Thanks so very, very much for writing this!
