Five Must Have Tools for the Scrapbook Enthusiast

V. L. Hamlin
Hardcore scrap bookers everywhere know that, if you are going to keep up with this hobby, you are going to go broke! Every day new products come on to the market guaranteeing better productivity, promising to make this and that "so much easier". But is it really necessary to keep up with "The Joneses"? I think not! There are five tools that every avid scrap booker should have nearby every time they scrap! I've listed each below, along with information about each.

Adhesive Roller ~ You absolutely cannot go without one of these! If you are still ripping off the little tabs on the back of your individual adhesive squares, stop now! You are wasting so much time! The cost of an adhesive roller is only around $3 or $4 at your local craft store, break down and spend the money. You will hugely cut down on your time per project! Adhesive Rollers are available in a variety of sizes and styles at just about any craft store. You will usually find them next to the other adhesives.

Glue Pen ~ Again, you will find these next to other adhesives. With a glue pen, you have the ability to trace over any stamped image or any pre printed image or words, then add glitter, fun flock and more!

Paper Cutter ~ Stop messing around with your tiny 4" x 6" paper cutter. Break down and buy a 12" x 12" cutter! It's worth it, having a larger cutter will save you so much time! No more adding and subtracting when cutting, the numbers are already there for you! Simple place your paper at your needed inch line and cut!

Craft Knife ~ I couldn't live without my craft knife! Cut out any single image on pre printed paper, cut out an image printed from your computer printer, or just trim a crooked edge. There isn't a thing you can't do with a craft knife, spend the two dollars and start cutting up paper!

Markers and Inks ~ You really need a good set of markers and inks. Having a large variety of colors readily available saves time and often saves your project. Ever gotten to the end of a project and realized you didn't have a matching marker or ink pad to complete the project?

Now, get up and run out to your local craft store, purchase these products, even if you are buying the cheapest available, and get to work. I guarantee you will cut your per project time in half and have so much more fun doing it!
